I've started yesterday Shadowman; I have a lot to do at work but I hope to be able of finishing in 2/3 hours and to go on with it
I just started two books, a light, funny one by Monica Dickens (great-granddaughter of author Charles Dickens and in her lifetime was as popular as Daphne DuMaurier) One Pair of Hands as well as the heavier, but somewhat humorous, Deacon King Kong by James McBride.
I just opened
Murder in G Major by Alexia Gordon. Book 1 of the Gethsemane Brown mysteries, started in 2016. Alexia Gordon is a very good writer. So far so good.

I love even more that it is a black woman who is starting an orchestra because more people need to know that there are brilliant black classical musicians and composers! I have put the first to on my want to read list.
I know, I know, too many !! but this came on the heels of my reading a biography, The Heart of a Woman: The Life and Music of Florence B. Price and my son's career goal is to be an orchestral trumpeter...so we love that stuff here (plus other kinds of music).
Christine wrote: "Sandy how’s your book going called The Survivors by Jane Harper?"It was great thanks Christine. ❤📚 What are you reading?
I am reading
Homecoming: Voices of the Windrush Generation it is a collection of anecdotes from people who immigrated to Britian from the Carribean colonies.
Sandy I’m glad that you liked your book called The Survivors by Jane Harper and no problem Sandy and Sandy I’m reading a book called Amish Christmas Twins by Patricia Davids
Christine wrote: "Sandy how’s your book going called Suspicious Minds by David Mark?"It was good thanks Christine. ❤📚
Bitter Wash Road by Garry Disher
Aunt Ivy's Cottage by Kristin Harper
The Blood Card by Elly Griffiths
I have paused Homecoming: Voices of the Windrush Generation because the multiple short anecdotes make it difficult to read in one go.I restarted Scourge and feel bad about pausing it again but I really want to read The Humans and Gideon the Ninth which are bookkclub books for December.
I maybe need a weekend readathon. I just have to stop myself binge-watching Youtube documentaries.
I just closed Plum Tea Crazy. I should have honored my past review of Child's tea shop book. What was I thinking? The present writing is much too different. Never again.
I will read
The Inn at Eagle Point by Sherryl Woods. This is the first book (2009) in Woods's Chesapeake Shores series. Late to the party, as usual.

I have been reading various science fiction & fantasy short stories recently. I have accumulated several anthologies on my Kindle over the years so I am picking & choosing rather than reading any of them through. While I have been enjoying the stories for the most part, it feels odd not to have a book on my home page where I can mark off progress!I am also rereading Somerset Maugham's Cakes and Ale and loving it!

I am starting a multi-book fantasy series, Sword of Truth, by Terry Goodkind with Wizard's First Rule. Next up will be a crime novel - The Friends of Eddie Coyle...
