I've been followed round the garden this morning by a Dove wanting breakfast. It had to wait while I put out the laundry as I'm not wasting a good day like today - sunshine and a light breeze compared to the rain and howling wind yesterday :)

Dinner is about to be served - quick fried pork fillet and chestnut mushrooms with cauliflower cheese.

Ohhh, Val, if we had everyday Birds of that colour in our Back Gardens in the UK I doubt I'd ever be able to stop myself from constantly watching and admiring them ... those Rainbow Lorikeets are SO beautiful! ;oO

I've only just recently discovered that, if you click on one of a collage of Photos showing up in a single frame on a Facebook Post, it changes to showing just one at a time with each one being a lot bigger for doing so - and then you can click on the Side Arrow to scroll through.

Ah, um, well ..... it was only a small cauliflower, barely big enough for two, really, and well, you know, you never said anything straight away, did you?
I guess, what I'm trying to say is ..... erm ..........
we ate it all.
Sorry :)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments Mum gave me a bag of Chocolate Peanuts and a bag of Chocolate Raisins as an extra little treat gift yesterday ... and ... while I was upstairs resting and busy thanking everyone online for all of their kind wishes ... she opened them both and ate them all!!!

It's the thought though that counts ... apparently?! ... HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;o>

message 4814: by [deleted user] (new)

So, was it you who ate my cake or was that your mum too? :)

Peace and quiet reigns here once more, as our visitors are on their way home. Now that the house no longer looks like a bomb site thanks to a quick tidy round, I can call it a day and head off to bed in readiness for another week :)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments WoW?!! - what a night! ;oO

I was frightened awake with night terrors every few minutes ALL night long!!! ;o<

It was such a relief to get up this morning even though I'm feeling so kerknackered and spaced out today that I can hardly get my Mind to focus and think straight.

Still, I got up several times trying to 'shake' the shock and fear off, and every time that I came downstairs Moo and Tee made a lovely warm cuddly fuss of me even though they were also all yawny and sleepy themselves ;o>

And I got to look out of the French Windows at around 4am and see two Badgers playing in the Back Garden with one of Mum's old Gardening Gloves!!! - LOL!!!

message 4819: by Anita (new)

Anita Bailey | 3842 comments Oh Suzy it's horrible when that happens .I hope you feel better now.We are about to watch Bing and have some ginger bread I'll save some for you.😁😁😁

message 4820: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments Oooh? - lovely, Anita! ... thank you!!! ;o>

Yeah, I wish I knew how to stop them from happening? - but so far all I've discovered is that getting up seems to sometimes help to stop them from endlessly going on.

Last night was just horrendous though and there was no let-up from it happening again and again and again - and it makes you very wary of sleeping in case it starts up and off all over again.

It was worth it to unexpectedly get to see the Badgers though - they were racing and rolling around and just having so much fun! My Mum definitely wasn't all that impressed by the raggedy state of her Gardening Glove this morning though - LOL!!! ;o>

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments Yes, Helen, it's often a horrendous part of what is happening.

I think I'm awake, I can hear some kind of noise close-by and I can't open my Eyes and I can't move. Other times I wake up to being shaken violently by someone or something trying to force me out of my Bed - and I am paralysed yet fighting for my life in trying to scream out and to hold onto the Bed or get up and run away.

Other kinds of terrors are ones with full-on colour, touch and smell during the most incredibly intense disaster dreams where my loved ones are dying in front of me in the most horrific ways ;o<

Yes, terrifying. Mine is always demons pinning me down while the devil attacks me from above. Can't move for ages and ages, pressed down onto the bed, can't scream either.

My Dad and sister get it too. Dad's is always the bed being shaken whereas my sister's really varies........she's "seen" a cat come into her room and jump on her bed (she doesn't have a cat), and another one where people in radiation suits & gas masks have been in her room, not sure what they did tho'!

message 4827: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments It is SO traumatising, isn't it?!! ... and I genuinely just don't get why on Earth your own Mind would ever want to try to frighten you to death in your sleep?!! ;oO

message 4828: by Helen The Melon (new)

Helen The Melon | 3424 comments Sounds really stupid when you write it down or tell someone but when it happens it feels so real and it's v horrendous not being able to move AT ALL for ages and ages. A friend has also had the devil come into her room and shake the bed violently. My Dad doesn't know who's shaking his bed! Mum has never had it.

message 4829: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments Something I've found to be useful - aside from getting up and making a Brew, or just moving around my Room to try to calm down and resettle myself - is to have a Night Light.

I've always preferred to sleep in a really dark Room but I think that maybe (for me at least) waking up in the pitch dark only ever helps to add to the overall nightmare.

It took me a little while to get used to leaving a Light on but, now that I know that my Night Light is on while I am asleep, I think it does help and that I am managing to have far less of them these days?

Martin O' | 2196 comments Sounds genuinely scary girls, I have had dreams occasionally where a wardrobe or attic has something dark and evil just waiting to emerge. All very HP Lovecraft and far more terrifying than any horror film. In reality the most frightening thing was a late night walk some years ago with the dog I had then, the street was dark and deserted or seemed to be however Ben kept stopping and looking back. It fair gave me the heeby jeebies I can tell you!

Close - T-shirt, shorts and boots :)

Never got the hang of driving in flip flops - I only wear them when doing things in the garden.

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments "Trains have been cancelled in and around London after entire railway tracks were completely submerged by flood water.

This month is on track to be the wettest June on record, with more than a month's worth of rain falling in some parts of the country on Monday.

North-eastern parts of England and the midlands are expected to bear the brunt of the downpours on Tuesday, with a yellow warning in place until midnight.

The Met Office issued a series of weather warnings as heavy rain drenched much of England and Wales on Monday. The severe weather is set to continue all week, with roads and the rail network expected to be disrupted.

A total of 31 flood alerts - which mean flooding is possible - are in place across the country. The average rainfall for June is 73.4mm for the entire month. Yesterday in Ham Hill, Kent, 94.6mm fell in just 24 hours.

Tomorrow it is expected that 100mm will fall in certain areas within the weather warnings, and already with this month only 11 days old, the average rainfall across Britain is at 48.5mm - 66% of what we'd expect to see in June.

This week will see potential highs of just 66.2F (19C), a marked shift from the 82.4F (28C) heat seen in London on June 3rd. Bookmakers have said that 2019 could be the wettest year on record, whilst odds were 25-1 for it to rain on each day of Wimbledon" ...
