Mr long-tailed tit is still doing his tap-tap-tapping at our windows, daily. Neighbour's cat still craftily hides under our low-hanging bush to observe and wait for birds to descend to the tit-bit table outside our kitchen window. Mr squirrel usually beats them all to it, but the cat daren't approach the squirrel.
Joined the local Writers Group in January and get to read out passages from the trilogy wot I wrote (to quote Ernie Wise). Some very talented peeps there. Great to get positive feedback and encouragement.
Happy Springtime, all!
Another bright sunny day here too - all the laundry is already dry :)
I had to leave the cooking of the curry yesterday to Mrs Grizzly - for starters I was late home then had to go straight back out and into town to get something important sorted. I had just enough time to put all the ingredients on the side and give quick instructions on how to cook it. Other than trying to boil it to death in a pan with the lid on, Mrs Grizzly did well :)

Spiders are jumping out from everywhere at the moment here - although most of them are thankfully only small ones. I put so..."
Don't like spiders meself Suze, especially those big buggers (House Spider?) that seem to teleport outta nowhere and then stomp along the wall with their Doc Marts on! : )
I couldn't hurt one but they freak me out no end. We have a 'Spider Catcher' so whenever one's spotted it's usually a case of "Jayne!" or "Mum!" and along she comes bless her and puts said crawler out of the house. I'll sometimes catch the smaller ones but those big hairy types with what look like boxing gloves at the front... no, I quickly lose me cajones when it comes to those.
EDIT - just to clarify; when I said 'Spider Catcher' I didn't actually mean the missus herself! : ) We have a small stick-like device with a 'box' on the top that has one sliding side, so as to put it over the spider when it's open and then simply spin it around, letting gravity take over in sliding the 'door' shut.

I finally made it back Home again an hour ago. I unexpectedly had to stay in overnight and, because I had to starve myself first before having the Bone Biopsy and then it got far too late afterwards, I unfortunately missed out on getting to enjoy Cake and Coffee with my favourite Consultant and so, deep down, I was left feeling a bit disappointed and deprived yesterday ;o<
However, just after I was discharged this Morning and before I rang M&D to let them know, my Consultant suddenly turned up while he was on his Coffee Break. He took me over to a small yet stunning beautiful sunlit Garden space within the Hospital where we both had a couple of seriously good Coffees each and we shared between us a massive slice of an utterly mind-blowingly yummy Seven Layered Chocolate & Caramel Cake filled with a Peanut Butter and a Toasted Marshmallow Filling which was then covered in a swirled Dark & Malted Milk Chocolate Frosting ... AND! ... an absolutely fascinatingly and divinely delicious Pistachio Cake that had got two thick layers of the most mouth-watering honeyed Baklava instead of a filling before being drizzled in a sumptuous Orange Syrup ... OHHH YEAH!!! ;o>
♫ ... "Happy days are here again, The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again, Happy days are here again" ... ♫ ... ;o> ... ;o> ... ;o>

Oops! - too late, P, they're just got three Bone Biopsies out of me ;o>
Your Neighbour's Cat has clearly either learnt the hard way previously or got a very good sense of potential trouble - it doesn't do well to take on or to mess around with a Squirrel - and even more especially a very hungry and determined Squirrel! ;o>
We found one lying unconscious in the Road once when were on Holiday in Cornwall. Mum and me were really upset and worried that the next person that came along might run over it, so my Dad got out and put his thick Leather Driving Gloves on before very carefully and gently picking it up.
It suddenly came to then, and promptly sunk it's Teeth into his Thumb before wriggling free and dashing off - and when my Dad got back in the Car and removed his Gloves we discovered he had been bitten right down to the Bone and subsequently needed to go to the nearest A&E to get the wound washed out, Antibiotics, Painkillers, and three Stitches put in! He has a small Scar now as a permanent memento of that day ;oO

It's a fabulous little Kiosk Café that is run mainly by volunteers who have all been Patients in the nearby Psychiatric Unit, Lez. One of the guys working there is quite simply one of the best self-taught Cake creators I've ever come across and he loves experimenting by making at least two different speciality Cakes every week.
He is extremely shy and unassuming and he doesn't like talking much to anyone - but he was clearly delighted that we enjoyed our Cakes so much because, as we were leaving, he suddenly came back over and very kindly gave me the Link to the Recipe that he came across and used for the Pistachio Baklava Cake ;o> ...

That's exactly what I keep on wondering, Blastro! ... HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;o>
I put them all out in either the Garage or the Shed because, daft as I probably am, I worry about just dumping them outside in the Back Garden to fend for themselves when they are used to being warm and comfortable and safer inside ... but I often get to wondering if some of them are the same Spiders that are sneaking back in again?!! - LOL!!!

Oooh, that's a shame, Val - I'm only getting a blank Page with a Toolbar above it coming up for that website and when I click on the Toolbar I can get to a Menu of Videos but clicking on any of them just takes me to yet another blank Page. It could be that it is my Internet Explorer and Windows playing silly buggers with me yet again but I can't be sure?

It's the second story with the picture of a collie. If that doesn't work, then, yes, maybe it is your browser playing up.

I meant to post an update on my ESA Assessment the other week. I got a Letter a couple of days ago that makes no mention at all of making any Decisions or even having any Assessment but it does include a mention that I can appeal if I want to and then quotes my Benefit Rates as being the same as before - which is fairly standard and typical of the kind of confusing Paperwork that the Job Centre seem to specialise in ;o>
Apparently this is their way of sending on written confirmation that I have successfully passed on all of their criteria of being deemed a complete failure to be a gainfully employed person ... however, it does not state either as to how long this latest ESA Decision will last for? - and so I fully expect to get sent yet another 40 paged Form to fill in alongside my Christmas Cards this December with yet another compulsory attendance Assessment Date being set up for me sometime early on next year.

On the bright side, at least you know that you are sorted out for now. You would have thought that someone would have the common sense to acknowledge that your condition, barring a miracle, is not going to improve and that they shouldn't waste their resources and your time with all these assessments.

A conversation I had with our transport Planner before finishing work this morning;
Me - What time am I in tonight?
Planner - Half past one.
Me - Given that the clocks go forward an hour at one o' clock, how do you expect me to start at half past one?
Planner - Erm...

You’re stuck in a space-time continuum, Grizzly. Do you get paid double time? 🤔

Poor Planner! - I've got a Headache just trying to think that one through ;o>

Only if I clock on at half past one :)
We finally get our pay rise this coming Friday, and it's back-dated to last June - the tax man is going to love me!

... okay? ... I think I need a little lie down now! ;o>
Just picture the scene ....
00:55 - I turn up for work to be told "You're early, you can't clock in yet!"
Five minutes later - "You're late - why haven't you clocked in?" :)

These days, I try not to feed her after midnight, just in case ... :)
Mrs Grizzly was fed and watered before being waved off to work two hours ago - eating when getting home then going straight to bed wasn't ideal, so now we (normally) have dinner together. It's taken a while to get her into this routine :)

You will always have the memories and carry the scars to remind you of it! ;o>

Oooh, but I really do resent losing that extra Hour though when Life is already short enough. Roll on Autumn! - when we shall all be thankful to get it given back again ;o>

Normally new things are taken off, then gently spat out and very carefully sniffed and examined before being eaten or rejected but there was no consideration first or hesitation at all with these.
They sounded like they crunched up nicely and were eagerly devoured with great relish followed by an enthusiastic search to make sure that they had eaten up every last little crumb! Now all we can do is sit and wait and watch out for any signs of Wind and Stomach-ache building up ...

‘European Union bill 2018–
The commission of the European Union has after investigating the opinion among people, in 2018 proposed to abandon summer time in the European Union. The legislative bodies, that is the council and the parliament have supported this, although with a slower timetable than proposed. The time of introduction is 2021. The UK may have left the EU by 2021, so might not be bound by this, but might have to consider following it. See Summer Time in Europe#Future.’

And Good Afternoon or Good Evening if no-one is yet! - LOL!!!
I'm still aching like Hell after the Biopsies but hopefully not for much longer. I've been marvelling yet again at the Human Body and at Skin just being the most amazing thing - as I have got a Rainbow of some of the most beautiful colours in Bruises all as part and parcel of the whole healing process ;o>
Afternoon!! :)
Just got home and now I've got two days off - two days away from the bunch of comedians I work with, who thought it highly amusing to sing "Nice legs, shame about the face!", as I'm now back in shorts :)

btw, use whatever tv catch up method you use to watch 'this morning's' brilliant april fool gag!

Okay, will do ;o>
NO?!! - I can't believe Holly Willoughby fell for all that?!! ;oO

"On the 1st September I left Dunbar, Scotland with the ambition to cycle the world. 3 months and 9 countries later I was coming up to the Bosnia-Montenegro border when I heard a little kitten meowing her heart out, chasing me trying to get my attention. We were 12 miles from the nearest town and it was soon clear by her friendly nature and desperate hunger her owner had intentionally dumped her.
After a trip to the vet, her gender was confirmed and the names for her came rolling in. Pussy Galore.. Meowtenegro.. but with her feisty and loving personality Nala was clearly the best fit. At 7 weeks old she was chipped, wormed and rabies shot. From then on it was set, Nala was to be my new travel companion, riding up front with the world ahead of her.
Through Montenegro we explored abandoned villas and hidden beaches, with Nala on my shoulder through the good and the bad. Across the border into Albania Christmas soon came and we made our home in the Himara hostel brewing Raki and exploring what Albania had to offer. 27 days later the weather improved, and it was time to move on into Greece ..."

YE-OUCH!!!!

Every last crumb gets searched for and devoured and she is showing no signs at all of any Reflux, or Wind, or abdominal discomfort whatsoever ;o>
We are almost through the first Bag though as 200g at £3.75 to £3.90 unfortunately don't go very far! However, I've took a chance on Mitz staying well and have ordered a bulk buy of 10 Bags off eBay for £20 which is quite a saving ... and I've also found them selling at £1.78 a Bag on a Pet Website although I'd need to order over £29 worth to qualify for the free p&p and so I'll save that Link for next time around all being and staying well.
I'm going to try out the Pork & Potato ones ... when they arrive. I went with Amazon as the Seller as they are considerably cheaper through them but there seems to be Stock issues and it doesn't look like they will be dispatched for a couple of weeks yet.
"I'm going to try out the Pork and Potato ones ... "
What? Before you let Tia and Mitz try them? :)

Well, we've had rain for most of the day but now the sun is back, giving us a lovely finish to the day - so I'm off outside to wash my car before it gets dark :)

I'm off to the Hospital this afternoon to do my bit for furthering Medical Research which means seeing my favourite Consultant and he always very kindly brings Cake so that we can share it over a Coffee afterwards ;o>
Tia is having a really fantastic day today - and it has filled my Heart to bursting with sheer joy seeing her so full of life and being such an incredibly happy bunny. She helped herself to a couple of my Mum's Curlers this Morning from off the Hallway Windowsill, brought them to me as a gift, and managed to drop them into my freshly brewed mug of Coffee which I had only just placed beside me on the Floor in the Lounge! - LOL!!! ;o>
Mitz is really doing well too and has been cheekily answering us back in very long "Owwy-Oww-Ow" sentences all Morning. She made it through most of the night without crying for attention ... 1am to 5am ... and so we have all got to have some sleep at last!
