suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments This was around 5am to 6am this morning - it's turned out to be a warm, bright and clear sunny day here now ;o>

The Flowerbeds are full of busy Birds foraging, having dust baths, flirting with each other and seeing off any competitors for their current affections. All the twittering and the calling and the Magpies all furiously chattering and squawking away is SO loud ;o>

Just got myself into a whole heap of trouble;

Mrs Grizzly - "Would you like a drink? I'm having a wine."

Me - "And what are you having to drink?" :)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments I hope you remembered to duck as well as run at the same time?!! ;oO

You would think that by now, I'd have learned to engage my brain before speaking, wouldn't you?
But no - speak now, regret forever! :)

(You just know I won't be allowed to forget it!)

Nah, my cooking dinner seems to have put my comment out of her mind ... for now :)

Afternoon kip?
Have a big Sunday lunch did you? :)

message 3513: by Martin (new)

Martin O' | 2196 comments My guess is taking advantage of a lull in the turmoil and sleep deprivation of the last few weeks and getting some well deserved zeds!

message 3514: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments Spot on, Martin ... this ongoing 24 hour Mitz vigil is proving to be absolutely exhausting and I feel like I barely know who I am or what day it is, at the moment - LOL!!! ;o>

Mitz is still obviously experiencing some abdominal discomfort from time to time and is barely eating or drinking much as yet - however we have had no more Runs and no more sickness for 3 days now. She is 2 days back into eating but we have yet to see any 'results' and she is staying on having 5 Tablets a day for at least another 4 days.

Tee is looking decidedly weary at the moment too although she persistently keeps on with rallying and staying true to her adorably loving and happy little self.

It's certainly been one Hell of a year so far and it isn't even March yet?!! ;oO

I had no idea it was Sunday, to be honest with you! - LOL!!! We haven't got all that much in and no-one has felt like going out Shopping today or wanting to eat much either. It was left-over Takeaway Chow Mein straight from the Fridge for Breakfast, Jam on Toast for Lunch and some Ginger Snaps for Tea!

I've just got together enough energy in the last hour to knock us all up an extra large Veg Pizza and topped it off with lots of extra Peppers, Mushrooms, Red Onion, Sweetcorn, Cherry Tomatoes, Cheese and a really good sprinkle of Italian Seasoning - followed by Fruit Salad & Yoghurt ;o>

message 3516: by [deleted user] (new)

We also lose track of which day it actually is, due to our shift patterns - it's more a case of working or rest day, not is it Sunday and so on.

Good to hear Mitz continues to improve, and that you are actually getting some rest yourself :)

That pizza sounds good - might have to order takeaway now!

message 3517: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments Whenever I feel worn down and washed out I always tend to go off most other Foods and get unbearable cravings for pile-it-high Veg Pizzas ;o>

message 3518: by [deleted user] (new)

I make my own using a ciabatta sliced lengthways, mix tomato and garlic puree together then spread it on each half, add mushrooms, onions etc. and top it off with grated cheese. Ten minutes in the oven any hey presto, two pizzas :)

message 3519: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments Sounds nice ;o>

I tend to buy Thin Crust Pizzas - either the basic but decent quality Cheese & Tomato or the nicer looking Veg ones - and then pile them up as high as I dare go with lots of extra layers of Veg with just enough Cheese on top to lightly cover everything - plus I often add any odd bits of leftover Smoked Ham Joint and Chicken pieces that I have in the Fridge or have got saved-up in the Freezer.

I like my Meals to be rainbows of colours on a plate and Pizzas always look as well as taste fab ;o>

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments Ohhh the Sun is up, And the Sky is blue
But I'm stuck here, Waiting for Moo to poo!

Four days now?!! - it's clearly all or nothing with this little hairy woofer! ;o>

message 3521: by [deleted user] (new)

Be careful what you wish for, suzy :)

Another nice day here, though it's about the same everywhere today, isn't it?
Just hearing that today has been declared the warmest Winter day, but it is still cool overnight, only just above freezing here. Warmer nights are predicted later in the week, just as I go back to work.

message 3522: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments Awww, little Phoebe will really miss her extra time with you ;o>

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments Grizzlygrump wrote: "Be careful what you wish for, suzy :)"

Hey, I'm wishing for a day out in the Countryside ... fresh air, get some Sun, have a nice accessible little wander through some wonderful Woodlands, and perhaps even a Pub Lunch somewhere lovely too ... not repeatedly encouraging Mitz to go out just so that I can follow her around the Lawn staring in ever nervous anticipation at her rear end! - LOL!!!

message 3524: by [deleted user] (new)

Phoebe has got used to me being at home - she now spends her afternoons asleep on the end of our bed (next to her cat bed!) and only comes rushing down the stairs when Mrs Grizzly gets home from work!

When I say 'on' our bed, I mean on the pillows, under/between the pillows, inside the pillowcases, actually in the bed (between the sheet and the quilt and, the other day, I nearly managed to get a picture of her with just her head sticking out from under the folded back bedspread across the bottom of the bed, but she moved before I could take the picture :)

That puts me in third place in the household hierarchy, then, barely ahead of the Zebra Finch! :)

message 3530: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments Well, bob over and join me then? - it's a thrill a minute here!

Will she? - Won't she? ... Or will we have to call in Dyno-Rod?!! ;o>

message 3531: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmm ... waiting for a dog to poop or waiting for a cat to wake up and ignore me.

Decisions, decisions .... :)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments Let the Bells ring out across the Land and the people rejoice!

Moo has FINALLY done a Poo! ... HA HA HA HA HA!!!

It wasn't exactly one of her 'best' efforts but we are all in party mood here ;o>

message 3534: by [deleted user] (new)

So now she's sat there with an expression on her face that says "Satisfied? - now stop following me round the garden!" :)

message 3535: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments She's lying quite happily on her Back on her big Bed in the Lounge - watching the TV while upside-down as usual ... and we are sat around all feeling exhausted and looking like washed-out shadows of our former selves!

message 3536: by [deleted user] (new)

If Mitz is looking happier in herself then maybe it's another step on the road to her recovery, which means you should all be able to start thinking about getting back into whatever passes as a normal sleeping routine :)

message 3537: by suzysunshine7 (last edited Feb 25, 2019 11:11AM) (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments I think that we might still have got a long way to go yet?

Mitz is only just eating small amounts of Chicken and so we need to get her balanced back on proper Meals again - and I've been thinking to myself for a few days now that Tee seems to be starting to not always be looking as bright and bouncy and as well as she has been.

This year just keeps on giving - and it is still only February.

message 3538: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments Bright and sunny enough today but there is an ever so slight tinge of grey to the rather hazy blue Skies here - and it is absolutely f-f-f-freezing! ... BRRR!

Mitz began to start stretching and seeming uncomfortable after Tea but settled down again had a good night and has enjoyed her Breakfast. Tee wasn't really interested in hers for the third day running but I've got her to eat some Chicken and she has had her favourite treat - some Peach slices from out of my Fruit Salad Box in the Fridge ;o>

Tune in to 'Suzy's Sanctuary for Sick Dogs' tomorrow for more updates!

"Tune in to 'Suzy's Sanctuary for Sick Dogs' tomorrow for more updates!"

Can't I get the whole series on demand? :)

Very warm here (by my standards) in the Costa del Backyard - I've even opened up some more windows to get a bit of fresh air through the house.
Now I've got the house to myself I can get on with things without a certain someone peering over my shoulder and 'supervising' :)

suzysunshine7 | 16045 comments You still aren't aware that Phoebe has got a Spy Camera hidden in her Collar and is reporting back on all of your daily activities to her 'Mum' ... ? ;o>

Mrs G probably has you in sight on her Webcam as we speak!

message 3541: by [deleted user] (new)

I know all about the 'KittyCam' - why do you think I leave Phoebe asleep upstairs? :)

That said, she's going to be in for a rude awakening in a bit when I change the bedsheets :)

message 3543: by [deleted user] (new)

Year? - Decade! :)

message 3544: by [deleted user] (new)

It was a cool start to the day, but now that the sun is up it's starting to get warmer.
Too cool for Phoebe though - I left the back door open while hanging out the laundry as she normally has a mooch round the garden while I'm doing this. Today, she turned tail, went back into the lounge and watched me through the patio doors :)

message 3545: by miscellaneous (new)

miscellaneous You guys changed your sheets? Why? Was there something wrong with your old ones?

The Evil Queen of Mischief wrote: "You guys changed your sheets? Why? Was there something wrong with your old ones?"

Nope, nothing wrong with the old ones.
As we've just had a new mattress, we decided that, just for the look of it, we'd have new sheets as well :)

(Nothing to do with the fact that we couldn't get the old ones off the old mattress!)

message 3549: by [deleted user] (new)

Tell you what, suzy;

Phoebe would rip me to shreds trying to put that on her so I'll bring Phoebe and the coat up to yours and you can show me how it's done - it'll be worth the seven hour round trip :)
