We haven't done Burns Night this year as Moo and Tee have kept on with taking priority and so everything else has been put on hold for now. I might try to get a Haggis later on this week though ;o>
Hmmm? - Cheese Spread in your Ingredients again? Am I starting to recognise a fellow Cheese Addict who also likes to slip a bit of tasty Cheese into as many Meals as they can possibly get away with?! - LOL!!! ;o>
WELL?!! ... Madam does NOT want her freshly cooked Chicken today! ;oOOhhh no! - we have sniffed at it suspiciously and contemptuously and then resolutely turned our perknickety little wet Nose up and declined it - and we won't even graciously agree to be hand-fed either!
We might possibly consider a little more of that absolutely excellent and very expensive Cod Loin that we were presented with yesterday? - but, ohhh dear?! - we ate all that up and there is none left? ... and so poor Mummy has just been sent out to buy more. And it had better come from Waitrose like it did last time!!!
We have officially now got ourselves a pampered Pooch!!! ;oO
Grizzlygrump wrote: "Well, I obviously picked a poor quality memory foam mattress, being as it no longer retains its' shape. Only had it for about 10 months too"Ohhh Petal! - 10 months?!! - that's appalling! ;o<
Can you not complain and try to get a partial refund on it? A Mattress should surely be fit for purpose and last at least a couple of years before showing such wear and tear?

Well, it might be a bit cold but nevertheless I'm sat out here on the Patio - enjoying the blue skies and Winter Sun - and a Port & Lemon! ;o>My Mum ever-so-slightly raised an Eyebrow at the sight of the glass in my Hand as she brought me out my bought-in Baked Potato with Cheese, Bacon & Beans - LOL!!! - but no comment was made! ;o>

I prefer not to get to see the true cold and brutal reality of the constant fight for survival that really goes on out there in my Back Garden. I hate occasionally finding the grisly remains of dead things lying around.

Robins are right little characters, aren't they?
We have one that occasionally visits our garden that has got the hang of using the feeders. I always thought that they were ground or flat surface feeders, i.e. bird tables.
I also had one get in the back of the trailer just before Christmas, and refuse to come out, choosing to sit on top of a cage and give it plenty of verbal!
In the end, I pulled off the bay with the back door of the trailer still open and stopped on the car park. By this time , the Robin decided it was time to leave and, although I couldn't see it anywhere, I could hear it from somewhere in the nearby bushes sounding even more angry than before :)
I went back to the same store later that day to collect rubbish and was subjected to another round of the verbals by what I presume was the same Robin, who still hadn't forgiven me for driving off with him in the back, even though I didn't go far :)

Hey tech ... has the new 'Bob' been officially named yet? ;o>How about calling him 'Clive Alive' instead? - and hope he lives up to his name?!!
We have two Robins that seem to get on very well with each other, albeit from opposite ends of the Back Garden - which suggests to me that perhaps they aren't always as tyrannically territorial as they have been shown to be on TV? ;o>

Our garden must be neutral ground then, as we get up to eight Blackbirds visiting and they only squabble over the food and whose turn it is to use the bird bath - they will sit smack in the middle of it and flare up at any other bird approaching :)

"has the new 'Bob' been officially named yet?"hmmmm, lots of options.
phoenix bob
bob lazarus
evil bob
killer bob (of course!)
counter clock bob
undead bob
the jesus bob (controversal!)
bob b. fiddler (not likely!)
deadpool bob
thinking it might have bob in it somewhere!
Yes Suzy, all hunky dory and no more walking into walls and doors. Looks like the eye drops and cream are a permanent fixture to avoid any further complications, a small price to pay sez I! Great to hear your two foozlers are on the mend!

And yes, slow but sure, Mitz is definitely improving now although she still isn't eating all that much - and she has lost over 2kgs in weight over the last fortnight so the poor little love looks very skinny at the moment.
Tia is still terminal, and so we take every day as it comes with her, and keep on with hoping and praying that she will stay as happy and as well as she still is right now for as long as possible.
It was rather shocking to suddenly realise that we might actually be about to lose Mitz before Tia last week - and the Vet is still playing safe on keeping her on lots of Medications in case she relapses.
She has two Painkillers, two Antibiotics, a Probiotic Paste, and Antacids twice a day and is currently also on a Worming Solution by Syringe once a day as well. We have saved the Bucket Collar! - it was billed as costing £17 on the Invoice (to send on to the Pet Insurers) just for a small sheet piece of flexible Plastic?!
I doubt we will ever re-use it? - well, I hope not anyway! ... but I can't quite bring myself to just throw it in the Bin now when it cost all that much ;o>
suzy - you should see the size of the plastic bucket collar we have Bfor Rig. being so big and also being a long necked dog it has to be huge to stop him getting to the bits you don't want him to disturb. When we've had to use it on him we've basically had to steer him through doorways so the collar wouldn't hit the door frame. We usually ended up covered in bruises where he's bashed into us because he can't really see where he's going.Thankfully we've now replaced it with an inflatable device now that looks a bit like the sleep collars people use when travelling. That's much smaller, more comfortable and works just as well.
Ohhh bless him!!! - LOL!!! ;o>We deeply dislike Bucket Collars so we usually remove them as soon as we get our little hairy woofers home again - as we'd much rather take it in turns to constantly watch over them than to have them not only feeling ill but also really upset, bewildered and crashing into everything.
Mitz wouldn't stop crying and poor Tia was just so freaked out by the sight of it that she wouldn't go anywhere near her and ran off to cower under the Table in the Dining Room!
It is only to stop Mitz from licking herself until the raw and sore Skin on her Tiddler and Tummy has healed through the regular application of Sudocrem - and a sharp "NO!" usually does the trick with Mitz and so thankfully the Bucket on the Head is not really necessary ;o>
Not sure what make our inflatable collar is but it's a bit like this:https://www.amazon.co.uk/MicroPowerTe...
It's much more comfortable for the dog and less painful for the owner. You just have to make sure it's inflated as much as possible and the gap goes at the back of the neck.
I'll pass that onto our Neighbour across the Road from us, thank you Derek ;o> They have a HUGE softie of a young woofer that goes by the name of Rufus (steady there, Lez Lee! - LOL!!! ;o>) and he is due to have some Surgery in a week or so and that Collar looks and sounds like it will be ideal for him during his Recovery.
i need one. not for lux, but it'll stop me licking my arse....................................where indeed doth the sun shineth from!
anyhoo, just been out to the greenhouse to feed 'bob, the ever living bob, the risen one, earth's rightful bob, puss of pusses, moggy of moggies, all conquering bob of the tribe of bobea, jah rastabobi' (snappy name, huh?), as he's just appeared again, starving - nearly mugged me for some felix and biscuits. i think we'll have to post something on local media to indicate where he/she is if anyone has lost him. he/she does look well kept (well, better kept than scabby ol' bob mark 1), and someone may be looking for him/her.i'm never gonna be able to get rid of that decrepit greenhouse!
It has kept on with snowing all day here so far. It alternates between tiny light fluffy wisps and great big soft dollops falling - but none of it is sticking and staying on contact with the ground ... yet ;o>
That's my kind of snow Suzy, despite the cold we have so far had little more than the odd flurry in short bursts though the other morning there was quite a lot of black ice when I took the dogs out for a very short walk, much to their disappointment! Let's hope that this Spring is not a repeat of last year's Beast from the East ⛷⛄;-)Went shopping today and bought a Haggis for next week sometime.
The Sky is rather grey and grubby-looking and dull but getting to watch the Snow fall and melt away helps to make up for it being such a dreary day. And it isn't too unbearably cold right now as well - which is a very good thing as Mitz is still quite fragile and a bit unsteady at times on her Legs and I would hate to have to make her go outside for a piddle in any pouring Rain or over heavy Snow/Ice at the moment.
No snow here, but temperatures aren't much above freezing.
Time to go sink into my sunken mattress :)

A cute doggie storyhttp://www.sportbible.com/other/news-...
I hope your two are doing well Suzie. It's always a worry, especially as they can't tell you what's troubling them.
Still no snow here - in fact, the sun is shining in a clear blue sky.
Not particularly warm though, it's only about three or four degrees :)

Val, it snowed very heavily last night and at 3.20am this Morning our two woke me up ... but not to just have a quick piddle and straight back in again? ... Ohhh no! - they wanted to stay outside, and play, and make little hairy woofer Snow Angels all over the Back Lawn!!! - LOL!!! ;o>They were SO estatic and having SO much fun that I gave up on quietly calling (so as not to disturb the Neighbours) and shaking a Treat Bag as a Bribe to get them in and just sat down on the Doorstep instead and took great pleasure in letting them go for it and thoroughly enjoy themselves!
It was a mad, joyful and wonderful half hour before the novelty of Snow finally wore off and they decided that they were too wet and too cold to stay out any longer - and then it was warm Towel time and cuddles on the Sofa before they passed out asleep and I crept back up to Bed again.
It truly was a memory to treasure in seeing our daft pair of puddin's playing out like that! And Mitz has eaten her first full bowl of Breakfast in over a fortnight today ;o>

It is quite thick Snow out there but I really didn't think that it was THAT bad?! - however I've just got a Text and an Email from the Royal Mail saying they can't manage to deliver my Order of Dog Food today because my Address is inaccessible! ;o<They had better deliver tomorrow because I have been waiting 6 days now for this 48 hour Tracked Parcel Service - and, just as our Mitz has finally started eating properly again, we are now down to our very last Tin of Dog Meat!
suzysunshine7 wrote: "Well, I have another Jiffy Bag here if you want a shoveful, Lez Lee? ;o>"I’ve just bought a snow shovel so that should ward it off for a while!
Took the dogs out this morning about nine o'clock, sun shine and blue skies, some frost and powdery dusting in patches on grassy areas but paths remain clear and dry thankfully. It's like a different country. I saw how Chicago has been hit with heavy snow and temperatures down to minus 30 degrees. Obviously God is punishing America for voting in Trump with hurricanes, floods, forest fires and now blizzards, keep it up big man!

It's currently Blackbird wars in the back garden - I've just topped up all the feeders, cleaned out the bird bath and chucked a few suet balls onto the ground by the bushes. There are six Blackbirds all trying to chase each other away from the suet balls and manage to get a bite at the same time. One Blackbird has even managed to edge one of the suet balls under cover of one of the bushes, hoping that the rest won't know where it is :)
