How weird is this.....i once had a very good friend, whom also died of a massive heart attack whilst asleep on the very same day, 28th of Dec 1998. He was only 33. Then, the following morning, my eldest nephew was borne. I don't think this now, but at the time, it felt like that one life had been traded for another, just hours apart.
There are only two absolutes in any person's life....birth and death. Everything in-between is undecided. We only know we're going to pass beyond the veil at some point, but for some of us, it's sooner than expected.
I just hope i'm not going to be one of them.
Sympathies to you and your friend's spouses Serial. I've had the Bowel cancer already.....the chemo treatment ain't pleasant. May she pull through.
Shows that many other folk have shit going on dunnit? I do realize that but when yer feeling rock bottom it don't console ya any. Gotta count me blessings that I'm still around for me kids... especially the youngest. Isabella - Bang on! No justice whatsoever. Perps are usually all-singing all-dancing all-way-through. At least is how it seems.
Just listening to Child In... oops, wrong thread! Right.. over to t'other channel....... wait for the ricochet
Yep, life can totally suck at times. I had to phone D and his mate at the club the last Saturday in September to let them know their other pal had collapsed in his living room and died that morning from a heart attack (D had only spoken to him on the Wednesday) then the very same night, D's dad died from a massive heart attack. 2 weeks later, 2 funerals 2 days apart. Live for the minute.

How true, C.
And say what you need to, today! Don't put it off.
Very silly question no doubt but... how do I leave a review on Amazon? Usually they email ya asking for reviews but not in this case. Ordered vape pens and bloody disgusting! Regardless of fluid and strength/taste, ya just get a 'plastic' kinda taste. Horrid. I'm using an old burnt out vape device rather than this brand new disgusting crap. Sorry. Rant over. But how....?
If you go to Returns and Orders (upper right corner), your orders should come up. On the right of each order there are 3 or 4 options:Track package
Return or Replace Items
Leave seller feedback
Write a product review
or perhaps
Return or replace items
Share gift receipt
Write a product review
Click on the bottom one and all your purchases come up with a star rating. Fill in the stars - from 1 up till 5 - and then you will be prompted to write a review.
Good luck!

PS. Any news on Suzy? And if you're reading this Suzy, hope you're doing ok. :)
Cheers Val. Typical innit? This morning I received the usual email re reviews. THEY'RE MONITORING ME!!! Ha ha. Barely leave reviews but folk really must be warned about this un. How ya doing m'dear, all good?Serial - I messaged Suze over here a a few weeks back and didn't get a reply. She's not the ignorant type so I assume she don't use this place anymore. Pretty sure somebody keeps in touch with her. Anita perhaps?
Exchanged e-cards with Suzy at Christmas, Blastro. Just good wishes for G and me, no suggestion that she’ll be back here. I imagine she is finding she has enough to cope with but she’s certainly missed!
I've heard from Suzy in the last6 weeks or so,she needed some advice which hopefully I was able to help with connected with beasties. We do email occasionally.
Good that yer still in touch then ladies, if one of yous would be kind enough to pass on me best wishes next time, I'd appreciate it.
Blastronaut wrote: "Good that yer still in touch then ladies, if one of yous would be kind enough to pass on me best wishes next time, I'd appreciate it."Ditto. Please say "hello" to Suzy from me too, Anita/Isabella. Thanks.
Anyone awake? I got music on way more lower than used to.... in training for getting new neighbors. Gonna be odd is that.
Sorry, Blastro, had an earlyish night to recover from our London break. All that noise and traffic and people, too much. Still, it was good to meet friends after a long gap of not seeing them. Hope your new neighbours are good ones. They can make or break your feelings about your home. Mostly, we’ve been lucky but there have been times!!!
No kidding Isabella, last time I had neighbors on t'other side of the wall that weren't family was when we lived in terraced houses in another part of village back when I wuz about 8. Like the Mafia, this village; ya don't get to leave! Actually, not necessarily true.... have known people with brains or/and money manage to get out. "Best thing I ever did" being the consensus.
Are you still around, Blastro? Remembered that you were having new neighbours a while back. How did that go? We have an odd layout in our little corner and the plot next door has been a building site since before we moved in, the next along has been sold, done up and someone (we think) moved in and the third is just up for sale, so we're not exactly overwhelmed with company at the moment. The hairdressers and the garage people are more like neighbours than the neighbours ...
Hello Isabella, how are you? All good I hope? Thanks for asking m'dear. Re the house you mentioned that was sold and then someone moved in... could you tell me roughly how long it was between 'Sold' going on the sign and someone actually moving in? Thing is... despite four of us having equal shares in Mother's old house... it's my daughter that seems to be running the show and is in contact with solicitors n estate agents. Seemed that we had a bid accepted, maybe as much as a couple of months or more ago. Not heard anything since. No activity next door - which is just as well as there's still a couple of things I've yet to collect - and no cash gone in bank. Neither have I signed anything. Excuse my ignorance but.... never sold a house before ha ha. Woulda thought someone would've been in contact by now tho surely.
You have a building site next door and have had for a while? That must be a pain. Good grief, is it one of those cases where something's been started and then they've run outta funds and bailed?? We got a whole estate like that on east side of the village Many many half-built houses.. and some completed but totally in limbo. Quite a large affair too.. not just a street or owt like that. Saw something on FB saying they got a bit of a job on keeping kids outta the area. Me lad insists he not one of said young explorers. I'll give him benefit of the doubt. : )
Hi Blastro. Pleased you’re doing okay. As far as selling a house goes, I know it can take a while to sort out. Maybe give the agent ( assuming you’re using one, to find out what’s going on. If the house is a quarter yours, you should be able to find out. As for paperwork, you should have something to sign. When we sold, we both had to sign the agency agreement as joint owners and sign the contract etc. might be different in your case, though, I’m no expert! People do drop out after having their offer accepted, though, as we know from experience. One guy carried on looking and found somewhere he liked better! A bit rude, as we had taken the house off the market and had to start again. It worked out okay in the end as we got a bit more money off the new buyer. The plot next door isn’t really too bad at the moment. It’s set back a bit off the road and there’s not much to attract a nuisance. It’s going to be worse when they do finally start as the access is tight and visitors to the houses up that driveway aren’t always careful about our corner. It’s not easy to explain the layout but we’re quite happy to have the site left as it is, apart from the state of the trees at the back of the plot. They don’t look very healthy and they’re right next to our house. I’ve spoken to the owner a couple of times and he makes promises but nothing happens and he only shows up once a blue moon. I expect they’ll do something one of these days …
Hope you find out something soon, I expect you have some plans for the money. Always better to know where you stand. Take care.

Solicitors been in touch and want keys handing over in a week's time. I assume that means it's getting wrapped up very soon then. They want anything remaining removed by next Wed. House is clear but still stuff up loft. Also, the shed and coalhouse (how many houses still HAVE a coalhouse?) are still packed with things such as tools and the likes. Really dunno where it's all gonna go because this back garden is still crowded with stuff we couldn't fit in the skip. Time for the old stress levels to go off the scale again I reckon.
Coincidence strikes again. Happens to us all the time. Could try leaving stuff you don’t want just outside? We arranged for the council to collect Mum’s old fridge, years ago. The lady in the office told us to leave it just inside the gate for an early morning collection but ‘it’s likely to be gone before they come for it.’ Sure enough, the scrap dealers had been round at the crack of dawn and helped themselves. Or maybe you just grit your teeth and get another skip? Horribly expensive nowadays, though.
Hope the new neighbours are good ones.
PS it sounds as if your daughter’s a good one. Great to have someone do all the faffing when you sell a place!
************Didn't want to start a separate thread for this. Watch your Amazon account(s) folks. Some b@stard has hacked mine and bought an electronic Gift Card. So generous of them! Zon know and I've changed my password. Just waiting for them to investigate and refund my money.

Thanks, Collette, I’ll look out. I had a warning email from zon the other day warning about scams, asking me to forward anything dodgy. As it happened I had two in my junk mail so I tried to forward them, as asked. They were returned undeliverable as the message contained spam emails … someone hasn’t thought this through!
I had no warning or anything, Isabella. D picked me up from Mum's this morning and was like "What did you buy from Amazon at £30?" Erm, nothing! I had 2 emails from Amazon saying "Thanks for your purchase", and "Katarzyna says thanks"! Cheers Amazon, not! Thank god it wasn't a tv!

I’ve changed my password and took out my payment card.
Hope you don’t have any more trouble. 🤗
Got an email earlier from Amazon saying they'd disabled access to my account and reversed any modifications that were made. I've finally got back into it with a new password and extra security and I'm just waiting to get the money back now. Bloody scammers. Just shows that you're not safe anywhere.
Makes ya wonder how they get in dunnit? Was your old password a tough one Collette... or was it like 1234? : ) Mind you I'm a total technophobe so don't got a clue about this stuff. Do they somehow get into another device that has yer password saved on it? But then how would they do that? How does it work? How the hell do the baskets manage to do it??Assholes want putting down anyways. Thieving shites.
'Not safe anywhere' - too right... somebody could be watching me through this webcam at this very moment. I'm so thick with this kinda thing that I don't know if that comment is far-fetched or not. Surely possible... if unlikely? I'm not much of an interesting subject.. I don't plan on world domination, I'm not rich, I'm not privy to state secrets etc etc.
Hi Blastro. It was a name and numbers. God knows how they manage it. And Amazon are bloody useless. They took money out of my account, but according to them they're not responsible for refunding me and I have to take that up with the bank. FFS they sent me an email that had the recipients mobile number on it. They let it happen and they should be the ones sorting it out. Waiting to hear back from them yet again. I'm seriously considering telling them to shove their account. 😠
Did everybody get this email?Amazon

Be careful installing apps or software
Amazon will not ask you to install an app or download software in order to receive a refund or to get help from customer service.
Never pay over the phone
Amazon will not ask you to provide payment information, including gift cards (or “verification cards”, as some scammers call them), for products or services over the phone.
Always verify orders directly with Amazon
Amazon will not call, text, or email you about an order you aren’t expecting, and ask you to urgently confirm the purchase. For any question related to an order, always check Your Orders on Amazon.co.uk or via the “Amazon Shopping” app.
Be wary of false urgency
Amazon will not pressure you to act now. Scammers may try to create a sense of urgency to persuade you to do what they're asking.

Thanks for the reminder
Happy Birthday, Suzy. 🎂It's a quieter place without Mr B and Serial too. Miss you guys (even if you're a pair of cheeky buggers). 🙁☹️
I just had an email from Suzy. She's busy helping with a charity group for Ukrainian animals at the moment but she promises to pop in when she has a minute. She sends her best to everyone.
I'm very pleased to hear that you have heard from Suzy, Isabella. Wishing her a belated happy birthday.

I haven't looked in for ever, C.
Sadly the lack of interaction has sounded the death knell imo.
I used to like to chat, of an evening between a few weirdos, nowadays 1 comment could go unanswered for days.....
Sad, but the way of things...

Hi Tim. I miss the banter with you and Brass on "Today I Shall...". Ended up being the only one posting on it.
People have stopped posting and others are l guess too busy with their real lives. I'll stick around though. Maybe I'll even send you a P.M. one of these days (you lucky lucky boy), if you can be arsed checking in again to notice it, ha ha. Take care 😘 xxx
Anyone else having problems with Goodreads over the last 12 hours? It's a miracle if I can get any page up at all.
