Someone on the Radio 3 forum was out at sea and saw it clearly along with various planets etc. Sounds amazing!

I've been following it on APOD but have doubts whether I'll see it, Lez. too much cloud and a high horizon. Still, there's always hope!
What's this I been hearing about a new star sign? Other members of Clan B were discussing it earlier. So now nobody's what they thought they were? Am glad I don't go in for all that stuff. Imagine all the folk who have a tattoo of their star sign. Oh dear.If Foe happens to be reading this - thee and me are no longer Virgo dude; reckon we might be Leo now! I'm sure you've found this information as devastating as I : )

Well I'm super excited, I have a brand new star sign and a brand new set of character traits to go with it . And I can't even pronounce it. In fact, when I try to pronounce it, it occurs to me it must be a spoof. OPHIUCHUS
November 29 to December 17
Summing up this new star sign, Mystic Meg explained: "You are a very complicated character who wants success, not just for yourself but for everyone else in your life.
"You can be a super-strong lover once your emotions are fully evolved. You’re passionate and not interested in short-term relationships.
"You are flamboyant and expect people to be in awe of you and notice your presence."

Complicated, flamboyant, awesome and a notable presence? I knew straightaway that was nc!I'm still a boring old lion.
Aw, thanks Lez. I was quite taken with the 'super-strong lover' bit, although 'not interested in short -term relationships' might cramp my style.
I appear to have become a Capricorn and Su a Pisces, not that I have any idea what difference that makes. We're to old to change our personalities to match a new star sign:-)
Nasa has added the original 13th one at the end of the year, to account for the Earth's wobble in it's axis, meaning the existing constellations created by the Babylonians 2500 years ago, are no longer exactly in the same places in the night's sky. Apparently, according to the blurb online, there have always been 13 zodiac signs, but the Babylonian just used the 12 signs to fit to their calendar. Nasa has just decided to add the missing number 13...Ophiuchus, Greek for Snake or serpent bearer. And poor old Sagitarrius is now only 6 days long!So..if you were born between November 29th to December 17th, you're now a snake charmer! ;-)
But eitherway....i ain't changing into a bull...even if i were born as one (now), but i've grown up as a proud Gemini & i'll die a proud Gemini...knickers to what the stars say! :)
As a Libra, on balance, I'd say I've no intention of converting to a Virgo... (after nearly 50 years of marriage, I'd say balance is more use!).

Just come shivering in from the balcony. Against all the odds, I just saw Neowise. The light pollution in the northerly direction's bad but I stayed out there as the sky is really clear tonight and just caught a smudge of what could have been cloud. Through the binoculars, there it was. A lovely end to the day...

My Mum often tells me that when I was a little Girl I used to tell my Nanna (who was very into reading out all of the family Horoscopes in the daily Newspaper) that my brother was born a Pixie and I was a Geranium ;o>I still like to think of myself now as being a Gemini with just a little bit of Geranium as well ;o>

Off to the Hairdressers at 10am - and it'll be my first time out beyond our own Driveway and off out and about in a Car since sometime waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in February! ;oOI've got my Mask, a pack of Anti-Viral Wipes, and a Bottle of Hand Sanitiser at the ready ... but I'll also be struggling with both of my Crutches whilst wearing Hand & Wrist & several Full Finger Splints! ... so managing to maintain Hand Hygiene is almost the very least of my worries right now over panicking instead about the very real possibility of having a fall, in public, and right in the middle of the Hair Salon!!! ;oO
I also have to try to work out how on Earth to manage taking in a large Variety Box of Dreamies for my Hairdresser who told me via Email a couple of days ago that she has recently adopted two absolutely adorable little Ginger Kittens after sadly having to have her beloved elderly Cat of 23 years put to sleep just a week before Lockdown started ... (RIP beautiful Bella ... x)
It seemed like the ideal gift when I suddenly decided to buy it off Amazon the other day using a 99p special offer of a week's worth of Prime to help speed up it's Delivery? ... but the actual carrying of it was unfortunately not something that I had given any real thought to until just now! ... Hmmm?!! ... I wonder if I could try balancing it on my Head somehow?!! ...
To be honest, I'm just about >that< close now to saying sod it, risking the wrath of my Hairdresser by cancelling at this late stage, and pretending instead that I really couldn't care less about having to tie back my Fringe these days because otherwise I can't get to even see where I'm going anymore!I won't though because it wouldn't be at all fair on my Hairdresser to do so ... and not least because my Hairdresser will probably give me the Hair Cut from Hell the next time around if I do! - LOL!!! ;o>

For 4 months, with wife needing to 'shield', our car had been nigh on parked up for all that time with just rare brief visits to collect things.3 weeks ago I had to get her to an emergency dental appointment. On the way back another car failed to give way at a give way junction and plowed into us, causing £7.5k worth of damage. Amazingly, insurance agreed to repair the car and it has been delivered back today.
Moral of the tale, when you're meant to be shielding, just shield, and put up with tooth pain rather than incur neck stiffness, hip and knee pain, and spend 3 hours on phone reporting the accident and then get daily calls from chancer claims companies!
Oh, P, that was all you needed!!! My son-in-law reckons everyone has forgotten how to drive since being in lockdown. I took my car out for a 40 minute drive on a major road (speed limit 80k per hour) on Wednesday lunchtime. I worry about the battery. Luckily the roads were fairly quiet but I still saw some weird and wonderful driving. I hope the car is back to 100% and that you're happy with the work.

Ohhh P?!! - how awful!!! ;o<
I hope you are both feeling much better in yourselves now? ... x x x
Both M&D broke a Tooth, within days of each other, in the 3rd week of Lockdown - but we aren't supposed to make any Appointments for Dental Treatments here until after August the 1st unless it is absolutely essential and they have thankfully managed okay so far and not had too much pain or suffered any major inconvenience in the meantime.I have got to have a new Brace Wire and have put the Orthodontic Centre off twice now but will have to commit to making an Appointment soon as they should be replaced every 4 to 5 weeks and my current Wire was fitted waaaaaaay back in mid February! ;oO
suzysunshine7 wrote: "Both M&D broke a Tooth, within days of each other, in the 3rd week of Lockdown - but we aren't supposed to make any Appointments for Dental Treatments here until after August the 1st unless it is a..."I broke a cracked crown on the Wed BEFORE lockdown. The dentist had said I see you have had root canal to which I shrugged since I couldn't remember. Must've been that molar because I've had no pain as it has gradually crumbled further - it's hard to ensure you chomp your muesli completely on one side of your mouth, most disconcerting when a whole peanut gets lodged in the crater! I prepaid for the work needed but haven't heard anything from the dentist; doubt the tooth can be saved now. I did ring up on the Friday afternoon as lockdown began and explained the problem. "Can you come down first thing Monday?" I was asked and duly turned up only to be met with faces of terror and to be sent away as if I was covered in pustulating sores and coughing up blood-flecked green gobbets (like normal really).
M&D seem to take it in turns to break a Tooth, lose a Crown, or develop a Abscess that needs Antibiotics at least once a year now - and it's got me quite worried over the last decade as to whether it will suddenly start happening to me and whether it will be any day soon?!! ;oO
suzysunshine7 wrote: "M&D seem to take it in turns to break a Tooth, lose a Crown, or develop a Abscess that needs Antibiotics at least once a year now - and it's got me quite worried over the last decade as to whether ..."Depends on the current state of your choppers, your cleaning product/regime, how regularly you get a check-up and what you eat I suppose. My muesli's the kind with big lumps of dried fruit which is a challenge and I do like Softmints which are pretty hard at first and then very chewy although the latter have been a no-no since the crown went.
Suzy ,lovely to see you back on.I understand about the hairdressers,I haven't been since lockdown started so I am resembling Doris the badger at the moment, considering just growing it out.Not been on here much myself as,back to a full week so getting home ,dinner and thinking of bed.It must have been a common problem ,I lost a filling and the tooth then broke .Just got to the dentist with the abscess a couple of weeks ago ,I have another appointment this Tuesday for a couple of fillings .Eek!
Nocheese my birthday is on the 5th December.
Yeah, I was checked out a few years ago because I have started to have a little bit of a choke on things every now and then - to see if any Bone Disease has caused my Oesophagus to narrow or to develop protruding bony spurs ... and I have never been SO glad to hear that everything was normal and that I was fine - and that, at the time, I didn't have any signs showing of also having Osteoarthritis in my Jaw ... as it'll be the very last ever of far too many last Straws for me if that ever happens. My Orthodontist also gave me a really thorough Check Up last year before I started off with my Brace as she was concerned about the stability of my Facial Bone structure - and it was such a massive relief when she confirmed that my Jaw Bone was still absolutely fine and looking healthy and strong ;o>
I do worry though, as M&D develop Dental issues so often, and there is only just SO much of a rather crappy genetic inheritance that I feel I can take on and continue to stay practical and positive about and find ways of dealing with - and my genetic inheritance has been rather too bountiful and incredibly generous already! - LOL!!! ;o>
Anita wrote: "Suzy ,lovely to see you back on.Not been on myself as,back to a full week so getting home ,dinner and thinking of bed.It must have been a common problem ,I lost a filling and the tooth then broke ..."
Seriously, Anita, I've never known a single year in three decades now when we haven't had to ring and book an Emergency Appointment for either one or both M&D with our Dentist!
And my Dad has always been an absolute expert for as long as I can remember way back into my childhood at being accident-prone on every single Holiday that we've ever been on - so maybe it's just as well now that we don't get to go away on Holiday anymore?!! ;o>
If he hasn't managed to break his Glasses somehow within just mere hours of our arrival at a remote Self-Catering Holiday Cottage in the middle of virtually nowhere? - then he'll be breaking a Tooth or losing a Crown within the first three days and then spending the rest of the week trying to sort out how on Earth to get himself an immediate Prescription for Antibiotics and set up an Emergency Appointment with our Dentist just as soon as he could get our Car parked up back Home on our Driveway!
Anita wrote: "Suzy ,lovely to see you back on.I understand about the hairdressers,I haven't been since lockdown started so I am resembling Doris the badger at the moment, considering just growing it out.Not been ..."The Hairdressers Appointment was okay. Not too stressful all in all although it was quite a challenge for me to manage it all on my own with any back-up. My Mum kept pushing to come in with me but I wasn't having it as she had already been in for her quick Wet Trim the day before and I felt that was more than enough of a risk take for her. I did have to remove my Glasses as usual though.
We had booked the first Appointments of the day, there was only one other person in when we were, and we kept our Face Masks on throughout as it wasn't any problem for our Hairdresser to still cut our Hair with them on.
It did cost me £10 more though! ;oO
Suzy!thats good that al, was ok with the orthodontist.we've had the osteopath with one of the twins ,she had four teeth out a couple of weeks ago and the brace went on this Monday.Very painful so she's on the usual calpol and nurofen .sad for her because her sister has perfect teeth and won't need a brace.although we've had problems with that one as she s got elbow problems after being on the asymmetric bars.
Awww, the poor little love! - I wouldn't ever wish the temporary discomfort you get with every Wire fitting on anyone - never mind someone that young. It really does feel like your Teeth have taken a right hammering within about an hour of having it done and, in my own experience of it, they actually feel like they are 'bruised' and 'tender' for a good few days afterwards.I decided to go for having a Brace at my age because there is SO little else that I can do about SO many life-changing and life-limiting things that I have got going on with me but this was something that I could get to decide on, something I could do for myself that would bring about an improvement in my Bite and help to correct some of the issues that I've been having due to grinding my Teeth when I'm asleep at night ;o>
I also had four Teeth taken out as a child but they somehow completely forgot to send me on to the Dental Hospital afterwards to complete the Treatment by having a Brace fitted. And I didn't understand or know anything at all about this until I was well into my teen years and the Dentist suddenly asked me one day why I was taking my Brace out before my Appointments with him? ... and, of course, I then said ... "What Brace?!!" ... and then he made it all the worse by telling me that I was now too old by a few weeks to qualify for still having a Brace fitted as a child on the NHS?!! ;oO
I never went back to him after that because I couldn't get my Head around just how casual, unapologetic and indifferent, and incredibly careless he had been about it all. The removal of the 4 Teeth had been an un-necessary and absolutely horrendous experience because the Anaesthetic that he used hadn't worked on me, yet he actually got very annoyed by all of my agonised screaming and sobbing throughout and he also wouldn't agree to stop either once he had started on me! ;oO
And I still have Nightmares from time to time about it over 40 years on!
