I'd liked to have seen the photo proving that the courier 'handed parcel to resident' the other day as I was the only person in the house at the time of delivery and I was tucked up in bed fast asleep.

You must have been Sleep Walking! - LOL!!! ;o>Or does it show a small furry Paw signing for it?!! ... HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;o>
If I've told her once I've told her a hundred times - don't open the door to strangers :)
I have to keep trying to stop the three year old opening the front door and taking in parcels. He broke his arm yesterday ,doesn't seem to have slowed him down.
Anita wrote: "I have to keep trying to stop the three year old opening the front door and taking in parcels. He broke his arm yesterday ,doesn't seem to have slowed him down."Those Postmen can be vicious if provoked.
Still, maybe he's learned his lesson.
Oooh? - nasty! ;o<I bet it makes social distancing even more impossible for you now, Anita. Taking care of active youngsters is more than enough of a hands-on job in itself - but taking care of one with a Broken Arm must be proving to be even more of a challenge for you?!!
Have you given up on trying and just opted for using Face Masks and lots of Hand washing and Sanitisers instead?
Oooh, I am having such a surreal day today?!! ;oOAnd I'm feeling SO utterly bewildered and bemused by it all that I think now that I must surely still be asleep and dreaming?!! Either that, or I've woken up to find myself living in a parallel Universe where everything always turns out to be absolutely perfect for me and I can seemingly get nothing wrong at all today?!! ;o>
First off, I logged on and ordered our Meals online and paid the full amount - only to get my Confirmation Email arrive charging me far less on the Payment due to all of the Desserts being listed on it as Free? I rang up the Restaurant to tell them about the mistake and see if I could pay them again (even though they were still technically closed at the time) and spoke to the lovely owner who told me that he hadn't realised that our first Orders with the Restaurant back in May had been for an 80th Birthday celebration as that bit of info hadn't been added onto my Order at the time and so he was giving us our Free Desserts now as he would-of done so back then!
How incredibly kind and lovely is that?!! ;o>
Then I very tentatively handed over my Fathers Day gift of the four pairs of M&S Trousers to my Dad (still with the Labels on and with the Returns Label already filled in and sat waiting on my Bedside Table) and braced myself for the inevitable ... "But I don't buy my Trousers online" ... "I already know they won't fit so I'm not going to be wasting my time in trying them on" ... "I don't like the colour/style/material/cut and finish of them" ...
AND? ...
"Oooh? - Ohhh yes! - I really like these! - thank you!"
... ! ! ! ;oO
Next thing I know he's stood on one Leg leaning against my Mum and trying them on right there in the Lounge! ... and not only do they all fit him perfectly and look absolutely fantastic on him but he still has one of the navy pairs on now and he says that he's going to be keeping them on for the rest of the day?!!!!!!!
WoW?!! ... I guess this means that I can now get to save my other (emergency back-up!) gift of three pairs of Slippers until it's his Birthday at the end of July now! ;o>
AND I've just come back online to see that I've won $12 for my chosen Charity on the Aussie Footy Punt on the Amazon Exiles Forum as well?!!
I really AM still asleep and dreaming, aren't I?!! ... ;o> ... ;o> ... ;o>
Awww, and my Mum is absolutely delighted by how smart my Dad looks ;o>She can't quite believe it either - just how incredibly easy and also painless it was in getting my Dad to not only accept but also to willing volunteer to try his new Trousers on and want to keep them all as well!
She has always had to almost forcibly drag him into M&S and have huge hissed through clenched Teeth rows with him around the Store before he will ever agree to try anything on?!!
We're thinking of having a Bonfire and burning all of his old Trousers quick! ... before he has any time to have a rethink and change his Mind!!! ;o>
Glad you're having a good day & glad your Dad was pleased with his trousers, Suzy. Phew!I had a surreal moment today too. Sat down to eat my lunch & switched on the TV, ended up watching some old Simpsons, a couple of episodes that I have seen many times before. Except, hold on a min, there is a narrator giving a sort of commentary, don't remember them being like that. Hmmm. Wonder if it's some sort of special edition with added information. Hmmm. This is a bit strange....
Doo doo doo.
About 20mins later released that I had switched the audio description thingy on by mistake at some point. D'oh indeed.
It's been such a great day here ... I'm just so happy! ;o>I'm just going to see if I can get him another four pairs - as I didn't realise until I went looking that M&S were having a Buy 3 Get a 4th Free on Menswear Sale at the moment and I'm not sure how long these kinds of Sales tend to last for but it's apparently been running since the 21st of May?
Mum says she might want some things - and Dad is now saying he needs Socks in Navy and Dark Grey colours to match his new Trousers! ;o>

Lez wrote: "I always wonder how they manage with the rude bits!"Have you ever watched a Father Ted episode being signed, Lez?
It's just absolutely hilarious watching a rather startled looking Narrator trying SO hard not to laugh out loud as they sign the only words that Father Jack is ever capable of uttering ... "DRINK! - FECK! - ARSE!"
HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;o>

There are some on on Thurs, must have a look!
They usually pretend to look a bit shocked but you can often see get to their Shoulders shaking through trying to supress their giggles. I sometimes find myself getting so caught up in watching them that I forget I'm supposed to be watching the Programme! ;o>
... x x x ... ! ! ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR VAL ! ! ! ... x x x ...
With all my love & very best wishes as always ... x x x Suzy x x x
WoW?!! ... you see a picture of a Product online and you get to thinking ... "Oooh, yes, I like those!" ... but you have to be a realist and know that what you see may not be even just a little bit close to what you might get, don't you? ...Well, I've been coming across this beautiful bright bouquet of Flowers for several weeks now on Facebook Ads and I've never been all that impressed by the Flowers that I've seen available for sale in Morrisons before now ... but? ... I couldn't resist them and so I bought us one.
And they've just arrived, and you know what? ... they actually look even fresher and even MORE bold and bright and stunningly beautiful than they do in the picture online?!! ... YAYYY!!! ;o>

I've already got my Face Masks on stand-by for when Shielding is supposed to be ending on the 1st of August. I wasn't quite sure what to get so I decided to ask a Health Care Professional - and I know that tech knows his stuff and would never steer me in the wrong direction on this ;o> ...
Err, a very very belated Happy Birthday to Suze. Yep, it's been a while since I visited this thread... or most others to be fair. Please forgive me m'dear.Am guessing I'm the only one awake at this hour around here?
Hey there Val. Yeah I suppose it is round your side of the globe. Have been awake since about three (can't have been much before that when I went to sleep in the first place!) and tossed n turned about for an hour or so in bed, turned to cuddle t'other half and got told in no uncertain terms something along the lines of "Don't get any ideas. You might not be able to sleep but I'm doing nicely thanks" so sulkily tramped downstairs. : )This bloody heat. I'm just not built for it. Sounds ridiculous really dunnit - moaning about the heat to an Aussie!
I'm around too - just tucking into my packup while waiting to do my delivery at six o'clock :)
No sign of thunder storms round your parts Grizz? They gave it and I'm sat awaiting it for a bit of a cool-down. No sign around here yet.
Not yet, Blastro - currently 20 degrees where I am, just outside Norwich and getting warmer as the sun gets higher.
I'm actually looking forward to getting in the back of the trailer as it's a lovely cool 1 degree in there :)
It's supposed to be raining this morning but that's not looking likely.

Even the bloody fridge is on the blink cos it's that hot. Strange almost scream-like noises uttering from within, like battling the heat to keep the goods cold and frozen is pushing it over the edge.
Well, the sun came up sending the sky glorious colours earlier but it has dulled a little this last few mins so maybe... just maybe. I shall go out to to the kid's trampoline and lay upon it in spread-eagled-like fashion and await the storm in nowt but me boxers and a vest! : )
Don't get sunburnt waiting there too long :)
Well, I got some rain on the way back, just enough to clear the bugs off the windscreen and now the sun's out again and it's even warmer now!
I hope all you folk in the UK watch and learn from our experience here in Oz. Because of a second round of infections, from midnight tomorrow we (approx 5 million people living in metropolitan Melbourne) are back in lockdown for 6 weeks. No international flights will land in Melbourne and our state borders with New South Wales and South Australia will be closed. Nine high rise public housing buildings (20 storeys) are in hard lockdown for up to 14 days. Food and care packages are being delivered to the residents. Victoria - the pariah state.https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-07-0...

Governments would rather risk peoples health and have the economy getting going.
And plenty of people seem to give not a hell if they're spreading Covid to the vulnerable.
'Black Lives Matter' anyone? Get the army in to clear the streets I say.
