suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments Gee!

I actually have a choice between talking to myself on here or a trip to the Dentist?!! ;oO

I really do know how to live Life to the max and then-some, don't I?!!

HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;o>

Val H. | 22289 comments I'm here and hearing you loud and clear Suzy. I've had a very hectic week and am dying to go to bed and collapse but am stuck on baby watch as grandchild number 4 was due last Tuesday and hopefully will put in an appearance tonight (with some medical assistance). My two daughters assume I will hear before they do so I have to contact them as soon as I hear anything. How long does one have to wait for a first child? How long is a piece of string?

message 5204: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm around too, and listening very carefully in case you only say things once :)

Between the heat and a few long days, I just haven't got the energy to do much of anything by the time I get home except sleep!

message 5205: by [deleted user] (new)

Grandchild number four Val - that puts you just one behind us.

With our oldest Grandson turning 20 on Saturday, we're starting to wonder when the first Great-Grandchild might be announced! :)

message 5206: by Val (new)

Val H. | 22289 comments I'm happy to stick with four for the time being. They're all under 3!! Number 4 was born an hour ago - the second girl in the family so the cousins are now: boy (3 in Nov), boy (1 in Nov), girl (1 in Nov) and now the new little girl, born July 11.

message 5207: by [deleted user] (new)

Congratulations on the new arrival :)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments OHHH-NO!-NO!-NO!-NO!-NO-NOOOOOOO!!!

You absolutely can not be here when I SO desperately need you to be my excuse to not go to the Dentists ... and then turn up with such wonderful and amazing news while I am there and not here?!!!!!!! ;oO

HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;o>

I am the middle child of 3 Val..Mum said i took the longest to 'come out'.....2 weeks overdue!!! Mum was really bored of me staying inside! lol! And i still took the best part of a day to 'appear', apparently.

Probably explains why i'm always late to anything in life!

Congrats to you and the proud parents.

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments It's hot ... it's breezy with it ... but it's hot ... and heavy ... and muggy too.

And I am not liking it at all - and neither are Mitz and Tee - and so we are all together and stretched out on my Bed under the Ceiling Fan! - LOL!!! ;o>

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments This was my Bedroom once? ... now it's a Woofer Chill-out Lounge! ;o>

It's far too hot here too - we've got floor fans on all over the house, which is making things a bit more bearable :)

Derek W | 1372 comments After surviving a week of temperatures peaking above 38 degrees every day in our last week in France this feels delightfully cool.

Worst day was the Thursday when it hit 42 degrees. I had to lift Rig into the car for his visit to the vet that day to get his passport signed ready for trip back.

I don't know about that, but she has done her own remake of Gone With The Wind! :)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments Ohhh Derek?!! ... the only place I want to be right now is Iceland! ;oO

If we do end up leaving the EU under a No-Deal Brexit will that cause problems for you with sorting out Rig's Pet Passport in future, Derek?

Gordon (skiiltan) | 2940 comments Blimey! I've spent most of the day in an office without windows, shivering because the air-conditioning controls don't work. I didn't even know the sun was shining. Now I'm home, it's raining.

Yes, since his pet passport will no longer be valid as it's an EU scheme. We'll probably have to get him a health certificate from a UK vet before each trip to France, so that will cost us more.

We're planning on getting him a French Pet Passport once (if) we Brexit in whatever form it may take. That will mean we can at least travel throughout the EU without problems should we wish to.

If I had my way we'd just stay in France permanently, OK we'd pay more in tax but I have no love for this country any more and would rather do that than finance the idiot Johnson's Brexit ambitions. Unfortunately, Su is adamant that she doesn't want to leave the UK permanently so I'm stuck.

message 5225: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments So, I have just been to Bed and fast asleep for approximately 20 whole minutes before a little black furry shape headbutted the Door open, crept in, and tried to climb in Bed with me! ... "Mitzi needa cuggle" ... and here I am back sat on the Sofa again with two extremely sleepy and occasionally snorey Woofers and I've a feeling it's gonna be a very l ... o ... n ... g night! ;o> ...

Still counting?
What number are you up to now? :)

message 5229: by [deleted user] (new)

Plenty of rain last night but, looking outside now, you'd never know.
It's all dried up, the sun is out and it's starting to get very warm :)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments The Woofers won! ... I fell asleep first!!! ;oO

I had taken full doses of all of my Painkillers ... and finally ... after weeks of next to no sleep at all had completely crashed out. Mum came down after getting up to go to the Loo, seeing my Door open and Bed empty, and woke me up over two hours later! - LOL!!! ;o>

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments Goodreads seems to be having a bit of a breakdown today?

It took me about nine attempts to Sign In this morning before it would let me - Notifications are staying active and the Pages keep freezing and taking ages to load.

Must be doing Maintenance?

message 5233: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, I keep getting 'page unresponsive - please check back later' - given my ineptitude with computers and the like, I thought I'd broken Goodreads! :)

message 5234: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments NO?!! - you broke Goodreads?!! ... Oooh, you naughty boy!!! ;o>

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments And that's 40 flippin' minutes I'll never get back again!

... chasing Tia all around the House trying to get 3 halves of a Worming Tablet down her! - LOL!!!

Mitz? ... "how many of those do you want me to swallow? - no probs, just have my Treats set up all ready for afterwards"

Tia? ... "OHHH-NO YA DON'T!!! - you'll have to bloomin' catch me first and you know that I can run faster than you can!"

message 5244: by [deleted user] (new)

I reckon you missed a trick - if you'd done that at silly o'clock this morning when they were both dozing on your lap, you wouldn't have had half the trouble you've just had :)

They've chosen Bonnie. I can only think of "Gone With The Wind" and as that did not end well, I'd better keep my mouth shut.

message 5247: by suzysunshine7 (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments I'm in such a happy silly mood today! ;o>

Of course, it could simply be down to all of the Painkillers that I've had to take thanks to a certain Woofer trying to bite through my Thumb? - but still, I'm in a happy silly suzysunshine kind of a mood all the same ...

suzysunshine7 | 16062 comments Val wrote: "Anita wrote: "They've chosen Bonnie. I can only think of "Gone With The Wind" and as that did not end well, I'd better keep my mouth shut"

Bonnie Tyler - 'Holding Out For A Hero' and 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart'

Bonnie Langford as Violet Elizabeth Bott ... "I'll thcream and thcream 'till I'm thick"

Bonnie - the Blue Peter Dog

I think it's a very wise Grandma indeed that just nods and smiles and goes along with it. Are you absolutely sure though, Val, that it isn't some kind of a payback for the 'Make Graham Great Again' Joke?!! ;o>

We're hoping "Big G", as he's now been abbreviated to, will make an appearance in 2021.

I didn't think of those other Bonnies, but now you've reminded me of:
