Don't Kill Snails with Salt ... Creme Eggs & Toasted Teacakes ... Biscuits & Bench Stories, Life, the Universe, & Everything!

M&D are so relieved to have it all sorted - we set it up at 6am this morning and have received our Welcome Pack and all of the Switchover Info already ;o>

Do you remember being repeatedly asked what you wanted to be when you were older? - and standing around leaning against a Wall in the School Playground and wondering what life would be like once you were all grown-up? ... Hmmm? - I don't recall ever thinking that it might be as exciting and as meaningful as this?!! - LOL!!! ;o>
Three sopping wet Bath Towels and Mitz STILL feels damp? ... I think it's time for me to pull out all the stops, go for the Hair Dryer, and become a Dog Grooming Stylist for the next 20 minutes! ;o>

;o> ... ;o> ... ;o>

What Summer months though? - it seems we are going to be roasted and steamed at the same time by all the sun and the rain this year! - LOL!!!

I now have a fluffy puffball on four Legs!!! ... HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Well darling....you'd better find yourself an icebox to sit in, come this Friday...cos it's gunna be a hot 'un! :)

You've got four legs & a puffball? You're weird you are!!!!! ;-p

Tia barked at her when she saw her - as if she didn't recognise Mitz for a minute!
No lemonade in mine, thanks :)

Right, M&D seem to have entered a state of total zombification in front of the TV ... so the Oven is on and we are all going to be having Chunky Fish Fillet Butties followed by Fruit Salad.
(*raises said glass*) ... CHEERS! :)
Had a wander round the shops earlier, including Poundland where I picked up a Honeycomb Twin Peaks Bar - not bad, but I won't be rushing to buy another one :)
Best bargain was the fillet steak - last four pieces on the counter so I asked how much. They were weighed and worked out at £20. The butcher said that as they were the last of the fillet and looking a little bit dry, he'd do them at half price so I only paid a tenner.
As I was walking away, I said "They won't be so dry once I get them in some garlic butter!" :)

Kinda.....the building has settled slightly to one side, over the years ..pushing the framework out to a rhomboidic shape, so no matter how one tries to line up the doors...squares don't fit in a rhomboid very well. Fortunately, the doors do till close okay. From the photo i put up today...the doors look alright from outside...however, internally..they're as wonky as shite!
It's not possible to get everything squared up again, without doing major surgical alterations to the building's structure...and i ain't doing that! I got enough to be getting on with!
So.....having put my 'Mr Ingenuity' hat on...i'm going do a cheat. The doors will be reclad on both sides..so i'll just the cut new boards at a slight angle, so it'll create the illusion of squareness, once again. Inside, i'll fit door jambs to cover the uneven gap at the top, and re plyboard the inside of the doors, again, at a slight angle. And after i've got me new table saw..i'll cut two wedge shaped infills..to stick in between the new angled cladding...and the job will be gud 'un. Nobody will able to tell the difference...unless i tell everybody on here.......ah bugger! :)
There's always a way around these little niggles! :)

I must be the only person i know....that's never had a fish finger butty in my life. I'd figured..there's already enough bread on the fish fingers anyway..dun need anymore! :)
Never had chip butty either, come to think of it.

Yep! - you've done it now! ... we ALL know! - LOL!!!

Maybe it's far more of a Northerner kind-of a thing? - if it's edible we'll surely wrap a Slice of Bread around it! ... Hee, Hee, Hee!!! ;o>

Not really..as i'm austistic...i hate things that are wonky! But i'm not taking the building apart to straighten it up again....for that way leads to the nut house! :)

I've had egg & piggy butties though! :)
I've got some fingered fishies (oo-er!)..and some bread....and some Tartare sauce too, which prefer much more than Tomato sauce. I'll make one tommorow.
Does anything else go in a fish finger butty Suzy?

And don't get me started on repeatedly having to check and recheck and recheck again that the Back Door is definitely locked last thing at night! ;oO
If you ever do make it to the Nut House then I'll very likely already be there making sure for the 20th time that they really did lock the Door!!!

Well I had a really wonderful friend (who used to hang out on the Religion, Politics, and Philosophy Forums on Amazon) who insisted that it should be Mayo on the ultimate Fish Finger Butty and NOT Ketchup? ... and we had such a hysterically funny ongoing battle about that for many years! - LOL!!! - as I absolutely hate Mayo and he was absolutely determined to do all he could to try to convert me over to it ;o>
I like two thin slices of Brown Bread, only very lightly buttered, and sometimes I spread Ketchup on them and other times I put a generous squirt on the side of my Plate instead for dipping into. Then, for me, it's just the Fish while it is still warm and a good grind of Black Pepper ;o>
You could take it to the next level though? ... https://www.birdseye.co.uk/our-brands... ...

I'll see you there then!
Alas..i can rediculously absent minded at times..especially when my mind is focused on one thing...(cos i can only do one thing at a time)....multi tasking...woss zat zen?! :)

So anything can go in a fishy sarnie then!
I prefer Mayo over tom sauce myself....but tartare is better!

Right...time to crawl into me crib....more work to do tommorow...and it can rain all it likes..cos i'll be inside me hideaway! :)
Night night sweetie....and anybody else that's still awake.
Toodle pip.

I'm still SO jealous I could cry!!! ... where's my half?!! ;oO

I've now got a vision of a rather bemused and bewildered Duke sat in his Kitchen ever-so-tentatively nibbling on a Fish Finger Butty - and still wondering just what on Earth the appeal and all of the fuss about them is about? - LOL!!!
I hope that you are pleasantly surprised by how yummy it is though, Duke ;o>
"I'm still SO jealous I could cry!!! ... where's my half?!!"
Here you go - have it.
I certainly won't miss it!
It's not that it's horrible, I just think it's very forgettable.

Fish finger butties are nice (with brown sauce, thank you very much!) but you can't beat a chip butty with the chips straight out of the oven so that the butter melts all over them - delicious :)

WOO-HOO!!! ;o>

... B-B-B-Brown Sauce?!! ... BROWN SAUCE!!!
That's just SO wrong on SO many levels that I'm almost lost for words! ;oO
... Brown Sauce!

And there was I thinking I'd heard of just about everything?! ... Brown Sauce? ... Fish Finger Butties AND Brown Sauce?!! ... !
"That's just SO wrong on SO many levels that I'm almost lost for words!"
I feel the same way about Port and lemonade!! :)
I feel the same way about Port and lemonade!! :)
And please, don't shout - baby sleeping here :)

What is brown sauce anyway? Tomato Sauce is often known as Red sauce...but i'm not one them that says so......but brown sauce..is called that.
So........what's in it?

I've only ever had it a scarce few times and I'm not much of a fan.
HP Sauce has a Tomato base blended with Malt Vinegar and Spirit Vinegar, Molasses, Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Dates, Cornflour, Rye Flour, Salt, Spices and Tamarind.

WOO... WOO... WOO... WORCESTER!!!
I used to like tartare sauce but find the flavour bit too strong and much prefer fish without these days so you can really taste the fish.
Fish finger butties and scampi are an exception, for extra flavour try adding baked beans Duke.... just a suggestion!
