Surely that was Violet Carson. Or am I mixing up Mortimer Chalfont and Harry Secombe?

Ah! Round Britain Quiz is on again? I'll have to try to remember to listen on the iPlayer. I haven't heard it for years. I did manage to hear most of the last series of Counterpoint once I'd worked out roughly when new episodes were appearing.

message 139: by Lez (new)

Lez | 7490 comments Gordon, the R4 quizzes - RBQ, Counterpoint, Brain of Britain and the student/lecturers one, The Third Degree are all on at 3.00pm on Mondays and repeated 11.00pm Saturdays.

As I never think of ‘Del’ being short for Derek, I was way behind on the code!

Thanks Lez. I've never heard of The Third Degree. I did eventually cotton on that Counterpoint was on at 11 pm on Saturday. However, I would often miss it when it was broadcast so I got into the habit of listening to it on the iPlayer on Sunday evening. 3 pm on a weekday is impossible, of course.
