Ardie | 15 comments I have a customer looking for a specific book about etiquette in the 1950's. She thinks the title is something like FABULOUS BOOK OF ETIQUETTE FOR THE 50'S and believes it was written/published in the 1950's. It is a little red book with large print and photos inside and a big '50's' on the front cover. The book covers manners, posture, how to dress and basic living skills.
Thanks!

Ardie | 15 comments Thanks for the suggestion, Nathalia. Unfortunately, that's not the book. In my original post, I neglected to clarify that it was decade of 1950 and not the age. I'll make that correction right now.
Thanks again for trying.

Natalie (haveah) | 1 comments I know you are looking for a book about the 50's, not published IN the 50's; but could you be looking for On Becoming A Woman?

My grandmother gave me a copy when I was about 11 years old. My copy was solid red with a black title. That's what made me think of it.

Ardie | 15 comments Thanks for the suggestion, Natalie. Sadly, my customer says this isn't the book either. She said the books focus is on social etiquette. More along the lines of Emily Post or Amy Vanderbilt. Thanks again for trying, though.

Ardie, since you were looking for a customer, are you still interested in this? Did you ever find out what the book was?

message 7: by Ardie (new)

Ardie | 15 comments No, I never found the name of the book, and the customer is long gone by now. Is there a way to delete this post or file it somewhere so others won't end up wasting time on it?
Thanks for the reminder that this query was still active. I completely forgot about it.

We can move it to Abandoned, but we don't usually delete whole threads.
