Help finding a title

[Monica **can't read fast enough**]

I need help finding the title/author of a short story that I read in college. It's the story of an older black couple who are closing up their house and reliving memories together, and at the end we find out what they are really doing. (I don't want to reveal the spoiler of exactly what happens.) I'm pretty sure I read it in a collection, but I can't even remember if it was an anthology or just a text book! If anyone has a clue which story this is I would really appreciate knowing, it's driving me crazy!

There is only one short story that comes to mind but I am also sure it does not fit the info you provided.
