Anadama( I love the folklore story that explains the origin of the word "Anadama". It seems there was a fisherman who was getting extremely fed-up with the basic cheap meals his new bride was cooking for him. In particular she kept serving a gruel mix made mostly of corn meal and molasses. One day he lost his temper, opened the Kitchen cupboard, and added to the gruel the only other things he could find which were flour and yeast and then shoved it in the oven to keep it warm. On returning he found, to his surprise, that it had baked into a very tasty Bread that he named in 'honour' of his wife ... "Anna, damn her!" ... ;o>)
