So my first novel, PORT STARBIRD, finished as a quarterfinalist in the 2014 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award competition - but I'm still pleased because it finished in the top 5% of thousands of entries. Now it's a semifinalist in the 2014 Best Kindle Books competition (top 20 in my genre).
