Terrence (grnkrby) | 29 comments Haikasoru (a division of Viz) is selling 16 of their novels in a Humble Bundle this month. These have DRM free Epub options to download once purchased. The highest tier is 20 dollars, the lowest 1 dollar.

A portion of the proceeds goes to charity (you get to decide the percentage given to charity, the publisher, and Humble Bundle itself).

Among these novels are:

Cage of Zeus

The Cage of Zeus by Sayuri Ueda

I really like this one from what little I read, and recommended it here before. There's a lot of layers to the plot (colonization, gender politics and science, the future of the human race in the galaxy).

Legend of the Galactic Heroes

Dawn (Legend of the Galactic Heroes #1) by Yoshiki Tanaka

In the 20 dollar tier. The first volume starts with the set up of how the human race expanded across the galaxy, but in their pursuits, they became disillusioned, and they solved their problems with a quick and easy elixer that would have lasting effects... Dictatorship.

Mardock Scramble

Mardock Scramble by Tow Ubukata

This one is more scifi than anything interstellar or space opera. It's the future, and it follows the story of some law enforcement type undercover agency trying to catch a criminal ring. The main character is a former prostitute who goes through a horrific cyborg like metamorphosis after being left for dead in a blazing fire. This is a huuuuge book (it's actually 3 books combined into one).
