it sucks not knowing how you will die but that any moment something could kill you, they will spend most of the time worried what will be the death of them.
i'm curious about how they know who will die today.
it's really shitty of Peck to call the cops, the dude will die any second!

Part two (view spoiler)[ I don't know why but I feel like I can't really get into the story and the random POVs every few chapters don't make it easier. I find it disturbing and unnecessary...
This part made me think a lot whether I'd prefer to know the date of my death or not, like Mateo who realized he'll never be able to see his friend's kid growing up... I think I'd prefer not to know that. But at the same time I think it makes it easier for your friends and family as they get the chance to say goodbye. Idk. (hide spoiler)]

But for some reason I feel like even though it's signalled that Peck might be the death of Rufus, I feel that it'll happen before he gets there. Also is it just me who expected them falling in love but now only sees them as friends without any romance possible? Like I see no chemistry. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ well that was sad. But also not as sad as usually death in the books is. Idk if it's because I knew, more or less, how it's going to end but I wasn't really moved by it. Maybe the moment when Rufus visited Mateo's dad did something to me and when he informed Lydia but that's pretty much it. And I'm sad that I still don't know how Death Cast knows who's gonna die (hide spoiler)]

We get to meet Rufus and Mateo and how they end up at last Friend app and connect with each other. I am intrigued about how the death cast knows who will die. Their job is so weird calling people to let them know they are gonna die. They didn't even show any remorse bringing such harsh news. They are so used to calling people every day that it doesn't even matter anymore to them.

It's sad that Mateo can't speak with his father because he is in a coma. Mateo should have told Lidia about the death cast call. It's good that she was able to read Mateo and searched to know about his end day.
I can't believe that Delilah hasn't realized yet that it's her end.
Rufus has such good friends that they will go to jail to save him.

Delilah has so many close calls with death. It took her so long to realize that she is doing to die today. Although, we didn't get to know how does she die.
Mateo & Rufus have such amazing friends. It's so good that they lived their end day to the fullest.
Mateo doesn't get to have a conversation with his father. :(

I’m not sure how I feel about Mateo not telling Lydia he’s dying... I like that one is a bit afraid of the day and the other wants to experience it. But it’s slowing down for me quite a bit. Unlike Katie, I feel like I connect a lot with Mateo so I do really like him. although I do agree with Mateo not telling Lydia about his end day. They have done some activities with each other already, but I definitely don't see any romantic connection or them conneting in any way in general. I like the language Rufus uses.

I did like how different each of the characters were. I would probably have handled the news more like Mateo. He seemed more afraid of the news and not wanting to burden his friends, and thinking "what if this happens today" and that's more like me. But I enjoyed Rufus' laid back "let's live for today" type of attitude. Very interesting concept! :) (hide spoiler)]
