So I finally read this book, and really liked it! It wasn't as sad as I was expecting it to be, but the whole premise was amazing! I was also really grateful that the romance wasn't really even out there until the end, and they were living their Last Days mainly as friend, it's so much more realistic! I wish there was no romance though.
The multiple POV stuff confused me quite a bit, as I was doing the audio and it's hard for me to keep things straight, but I think it all blended perfectly <3

They actually have such different lifes, they are just very different people. They both were on some app for 'friends' for your last day and found each other. I am curious to see how they'll get along and if they take each other out of their comfort zones. I hope they can help each other find peace with dying and complete the last things they want in life. Also, he is being egoistic. Kinda mean he doesn't intend to tell his best friend that he is going to die, 'I don't want to ruin her day'. Well by not telling her you are going to ruin a lot more days for her. Wondering why you wouldn't allow her to say a real goodbye.

Also, when they visited his best friend and the following joke was made: 'Penny for your thoughts?' I had to laugh out loud, kinda sad the people in the book said it wasn't a funny joke. WELL I THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY OKE.

Also, I wonder if deathcast is a good thing. What if deathcast sometimes causes a person to die? I believe one of the boys parents and sister died when they were on their way to some place his sister wanted to see one last time before she died. If she did not know she would die that day she wouldn't have made that trip. Would that mean she would still be alive? Just some food for thought that kept me busy today.

This was definitely a 5 star read for me! I loved every single part of this book, I loved the evolution the MC's went through. I loved how they helped each other on their last day, and how they pushed each others boundaries. How they got each other out of their comfort zones. I totally felt connection to the characters too!

Also, I am totally still thinking about what I said in my last post. What if deathcast causes deaths? If they didn't become last friends. Maybe Rufus wouldn't have been in that place, maybe he wouldn't have died then?

But even if that is the case and them meeting did cause their deaths, I'm just happy they were able to find each other :) (hide spoiler)]

Finished - (view spoiler)[ Oh man!! One would think that given the title, I should have known what to expect, but I just kept hoping that there would be a twist somehow and they would survive. When Mateo died, I was so upset and then I knew that Rufus wouldn't make it either.

I'm sure I am supposed to be thinking about what I would do if I only had 24 hours left to live, but all can think about is how much it sucked that these two boys found each other and really made a connection only to die minutes later. So freaking sad!!!! (hide spoiler)]

Peck is a real piece of shit. Fair enough, the guy beat you up pretty badly, but the guy's gonna death in the next 24 hours. So you don't have to worry about him. Why call the police??

I understand he doesn't want to hurt her and she's already had the hurt of her boyfriend dying, but wouldn't it hurt her more if she finds out AFTER it happens? I'd be upset that my best friend hadn't even told me he knew.

I've got mixed feelings about Aimee. So she wants to be with Peck, but she was trying to kiss Rufus at his 'funeral' and she still wanted to have this connection with him. So do you wanna be with Peck or Rufus? You can't string them both along.

It was so sad how Matteo died! And how they both felt like they finally started living the day they were going to die because they met each other. I thought they were totally gone when puck turned up with the gun.
