Your One Must-Read book

Just finished The Night Circus because it was mentioned several times in this thread. I did really like it, was one I hated to get to the end. I'm not sure if I had to pick just one that it would be this one. I tend to be in love with the last one I just read (hence my affinity for series). I would be able to choose my top pick for the last 6-12 months, but over a lifetime? Even a decade's worth of reading would be hard for me to narrow down to just one. I do welcome the suggestions and have noted several to add to my list.

Little Women. I have loved this book since the first time I read it.

My one must-read book for everyone would be Watership Down. I've read it over and over since I was 11, and it's amazing.

Definitely Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro - it is haunting, stays with you for weeks if not months after you've finished it. I usually go straight from one book to the next but couldnt after this one - it really took me by surprise, i couldnt get it out of my head.

Also one of my top picks; I've read it a couple of times,but not lately. I bought it as audio because of the narrator.

For me my number one book would be To Kill a Mockingbird. It is without a doubt one of my favorite reads of all time. My favorite light hearted book I can reread and reread would have to be a tie between The Princess Bride and the Harry Potter Boxset

P.S. My favorite knitting book would have to be Zen and the Art of Knitting: Exploring the Links Between Knitting, Spirituality, and Creativity

I loved, loved, loved reading ALl the light we cannot see by Anthony Doerr this summer...
The story of a young blind girl in the second world war in France. Beautifully written, poetic and moving.
