A little late to the party, but I'm in. I won't bother with possibilities, but I'll update here.Finished:
Just finished #5
It has been on my TBR over a year. Good book - glad I finally read it. I think I will finish this challenge with time to spare and will then continue to see how many long term TBR's I can get to :)
Finished book #3 round 2.
- Really good book! All these are from my TBR list by the way. Been on for longer than 6 months.
Finished book #4 round 2
I was really loving cutting down my TBR list and I just filled it all up again. 'sigh'
My TBR is endless! I think I could work this challenge for 3 years and still wouldn't finish it even if I didn't add anything else. Kep working at it - this is one chore that is a pleasure to accomplish :)
I've ben there - that is the story of the last challenge for me. I hope you get in a place where you can relax and enjoy reading soon.
I'm dominating my series catch up with the adult books. Not so much the YA. I'll finish it though. If it kills me.
Finished #6! Read the first one in January for the new new new challenge. Wasn't a fan of this one, but I still want to know how the series will end. Updated #8
Joining the party late! I've actually been doing this because of this challenge, but haven't gotten a chance to officially catch up online :)
Finished:
(series 11/17)
(series 11/10)
(library TBR list 10/28)
(owned 10/16)There are so many possibilities, I'm not going to list them at this point -- ha!
And I am officially finished with the challenge. #6 was
and it was a very good read that I have owned more than 6 months. I cant wait to read the next in the series.
Congratulations Diane. I've been meaning to read that one for a while now too. Glad to hear it's good.
Looking at the reviews many people didn't care as much for the second. I will still read it and make up my own mind.
Finished #2- BeastlyI started this audiobook about two years ago. Got it within two hours of finishing and did not ever go back to it. In joining the challenge I turned to my TBR audiobook List in audible and there it was. Hoping that meets the brief. If not, please ignore.
Also, has anyone read the rest of the series? I would like to continue but the reviews are not great on any of them. Thanks!
Finished books 4, 5, & 6
- Series not read 6+ months, also it is an adult read
- So, this one is a little tricky ;) the book itself was not on my TBR but rather the author was as hello, it's Tamora Pierce and I cannot believe I have waited this long to read anything by her! Good Lord, but that woman can write! I'm now trying to get my hands on the Lioness quartet. Loved, loved, loved this book!!!!!! I've also already found and read
, and it was so good.
- This book has been sitting on my shelf in my room for awhile now. As with a few other books I've read for this challenge I can't believe I put off reading this. I thought this book was amazing, and am currently taking a break from the challenge to read the second book :)Thank you to this challenge for making me read books I have put off only to discover how amazing they are!
Also, I've updated post #6
Congrats for finishing the Challenge Jennifer. I have not read Tamora Pierce either but did recently pick up Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen real cheap for kindle so this gives me the motivation to get on them real soon. Thanks for telling us what you thought of them.
Diane,I hope you enjoy the Trickster duology as much as I did. Pierce's world building and characters are fantastic. The first book was a quicker read than the second book as Trickster's Queen had that heavier feel to it. But both were fantastic. I think I read both of them within a few days.
Yeah I was thinking of starting them next week and after reading what you just wrote I am enthusiastic about it.
I just finished Matched. So that makes #3. I’ve never read so much so fast in my life. This one I had started back in Jan/Feb and read about halfway through then got busy and never went back to it. Glad I finished it and will continue the story. I’ll tag the book when I get to a computer. App on phone won’t let me do that.
I’m very excited that I finally read
--#5, from our group bookshelf. Since I've owned this book for several years, I feel like this was a major accomplishment!Updated post #5
Finished book 3. My goodness I'm dying on this one (lots of books came out in the fall and I was like OOOOOOOOH MY PRECIOUS for each one).
(TBR). I hope this counts. I read it when it first came out, maybe a couple years later (soooo like, 16-20 years ago? I dunno I didn't keep book read lists back then. Bad Laurel), and I didn't particularly like it. But Tamora Pierce is coming out with a new Tortall book in February so I was like, let's take a trip down memory lane! And read the Circle of Magic books since I never read the last trilogy in the series.
Finished #4. Tainted by Moody. Dystopian fic. Not terrible but not my favorite. It’s owned but never read. Got it from BookBub a couple years back.
Finished my first 3 (over the last month):
All TBR - Life After Theft from my library TBR list.
Updated original post#52
Finished #5. The Devils Arithmetic by Yolen. It’s been on my TBR since the movie came out in 2000ish. I never could bring myself to read it until now.
Finished #6. Inkspell by Cornelia Funke. Started the series in 2013, started the book but just now finished it.
