I still think historical fiction might just not be my jam

I didn't notice this so much during my first read through because I was rushing through it, but I really love that the romance here contains more conversation and less physicality, I've read a few series where the couple spends more time kissing and being touchy-feely than actually discussing their thoughts and stuff and I am just not a fan of those.(view spoiler)[

I thought it was pretty neat that Thomas's sister and her lover were part of this Order of the Dragon group. It would have really sucked if both Thomas and Audrey had siblings that ended up as murderers. Thank goodness Daciana is only a vigilante. (hide spoiler)]

I am a little relieved that they won't be staying in Romania for the next book. Are you planning on reading the next one?

I think it has to do with the era - where people covered most of their bodies, including wearing gloves, and any skin on skin contact, even the brushing of fingers, is extremely intimate. I remember being really suss about the Professor because he reminded me of a certain bumbling Harry Potter professor who turned out to be dodgy.

If I remember correctly, I had no idea what was going on and then everything clicked when they saw the bathtub of blood because: Bloody bathtub -> Elizabeth Bathory -> Hungarian Countess -> Anastasia is Hungarian and has some sort of lineage. (hide spoiler)]
