Thanks Leni! It was so nice to only juggle physical books and just a handful. No page count acrobatics! lol

Way to go! And you got some sleep, too. And leftover snacks, I hope. Happy Dewey’s Readathon #? See you next time!

Wow, Elyse - 997 pages is fantastic! (I'm like you - can't 'cheat' on page counts either ;) It seems you found a good balance between reading and sleeping. I've never been able to do the whole 24 hours and have given up trying.

Hopefully the stars will align so I can participate next time. I missed hanging out with all of you!

Oh yes sleep is precious. I've made it 24 hours ONCE. lol. I can usually get about 20 but I couldn't this time around. Ah well. Hoping to see you next time!

Susan | 678 comments Hi Elyse! Glad to see you’re back!

message 809: by Leni (new)

Leni Iversen (leniverse) | 566 comments Yay! I am too, sort of. The reversed time makes for a 1am start, which is... no. lol
I'm also not likely to get up at the crack of dawn, so it's more like wake up whenever Saturday and read until 1 in the night.

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 2454 comments Not really feeling this 'thon but hopefully it will help take my mind off the crap that I've been dealt lately! I got a slew of transgender/non-binary authored books on Bookshop.org from a list an Instagram friend put together because the weekend after the 'thon is #TRANSreadathon on Instagram. I took a break from IG but I want to participate in it to show support. I really don't know what I'm going to be reading this weekend! But I'm definitely going to be taking it easy. We've got a 6-7 hour drive on Sunday to Buffalo, NY so I definitely want to still get my sleep!

Oh no, hate when it's here but the mood is not. Maybe your brain will surprise you and you'll suddenly get excited as it draws closer. I hope so anyway, and that it helps gets your mind off everything going on

Thanks Leni! I think I'm just going to stick with a handful of graphic novels. Pictures will probably help!

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 2454 comments I haven't signed up yet but I will be back for the fall 'thon! My reading mojo has quit me since I got COVID a couple of weeks ago so I really, desperately need this 'thon! Going to pull out the board game from a couple of years ago, it was so fun!! Thanks Lianne for reminding me of it! You can find it on @deweysreadathon Instagram from March 2021. 😊

Glad you’ll be back! It wouldn’t seem like the Readathon without you. Drat that COVID for squelching your reading mojo. The board game seems like a good way to get back in. I’ll have to remember that

Ugh it sucked. But definitely a mild case which I'm thankful for. My brother and his family had it and gave it to me and our parents, and then I gave it to my husband. So good times. lol.

message 850: by Elyse (new)

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 2454 comments I can't believe it's in a week. I'm so unprepared. I don't like not having a month of fun pre-readathon challenges to get into the spirit. I really miss those.
