LOL, Tessa. That's the spirit. :)

So my re-read will work for scars (I'm almost 3/4 of the way there). I'll read the red cover next IF it fits the Bingo call tomorrow...

Frankenstein's Cat
Task - MUNCHKIN - small child in it
Book / Author - Norwegian by Night / Derek B. Miller
Pages - 304
Date Finished - 17Oct17
Rating - 4****
How it Fits - Paul is about age 6, and is a central character in the book.

message 206: by Book Concierge (new)

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 2461 comments And did you notice that Lanelle has now created an additional challenge to build Frankenstein's Pet Cat

The above book has a small child in it if we want to build this additional creature.

I'm sure some of the books we've assigned to energy must fit some of these tasks as well.

message 207: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 1 comments How are you guys feeling about Frankenstein's Cat? Are you up to continuing? It will add an additional 10 books to the amount we must read.

The task don't seem to be that difficult but I'll let you judge. I'm fine either way.

American Shorthair - read a book set in the United States
Cheetoh - read a book within 24 hours
Dragon Li - read a fantasy book
Foldex - read a book with 'X' anywhere on the cover
Maine Coon - read a 400+ page book
Munchkin - read a book with a small child in it
Norwegian Forest cat - read a book with a tree on the cover
Russian Blue - read a book with a blue cover
Snowshoe - read a book set during the winter
plus 1 book for wattage ('cuz cats are small)

D.G. | 1 comments So looking quickly, we have tree on the cover, small child and set in US.

Then, there are some tasks we would need to confirm:
Read a book within 24 hrs - Melissa read like 5 books in a day so one of those must count for that.
Fantasy - Unless Lanelle is going by Epic Fantasy, the Mercy Thompson must work for that
Set in Winter - The readers who read energy tasks must find out if any of their books were set in winter.
X in cover - I read a book titled Sex Symbol for Energy. It's in the title which is part of the cover, so we would need to confirm with Lanelle.

After that, we would need:
400+ page book and blue cover (I happen to have a book for this) and how many Energy tasks we end up replacing...

message 209: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments I have a book I need to read for another challenge that has a book on the cover - there is an outside scene out the window that has trees. I'll see if Lanelle will approve it.

Also, I can read another book within 24 hrs so don't worry about taking one of those out of the energy for the bride :)

message 210: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 1 comments We already have a book with tree on the cover - it's one of those you read for Energy: The Cove (FBI Thriller #1) by Catherine Coulter

Yep, but I have a book I have to read this week for another challenge that has a tree on the cover if you want to leave that as energy for whichever monster you used it for. I'll be reading Old Loves Die Hard (Mac Faraday Mystery, #2) by Lauren Carr and Lanelle was fine w the tree through the window on the cover. Up to you which way you want the book to go.
My bingo book for SOS I can read in 24 hrs this weekend.

message 212: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 1 comments Oh you asked already? Then that's fine then and we can leave the first one there.

LOL - no I'm on team 18. I had no idea this was a winning call. Looks like they are behind though a few shelves. I'll still read the book I picked for this week. It's 204 pgs so no problem. (view spoiler)

D.G. | 1 comments OK, here are the tasks left for the cat - I know we must have books in the Energy tasks that fit, but some of these are super easy and they are not worth the trouble to keep moving books around.

I know how that feels and when you 'need' it for a challenge that can make it worse, lol. I've definitely had those books a time or two. Glad I could help
