I am none too pleased with the randomizer this month but despite my strong dislike of Bellow, I will try to read both.
Also, anyone want to moderate the discussion for either of those two books?

I have been wanting to read World´s End and it is on my shelf, so I will read that after Bleak House.

I have already read Humboldt's Gift so if no-one volunteers I can moderate that one :)
I will aim to read World's End...

I've read Drop City by Boyle, which was just OK. So don't have particularly strong feelings either way about the author. The attraction of World's End for me is that according to the description it takes place practically in my back yard. I will give it a go.

I hope you like this one more! Also check out our October BOTM since we’ll be reading those starting in a few days!

Yes, me too. 500 pages is a lot for both books. I like big books too but it’s nice to have a little variability each month.

I will be reading World's End. I have read Humbold's Gift in past. I like Bellow's and that book but I won't reread as I won't have time to try to read it. Bellow's is not a "speedy" read.

I've read both books and won't have time for a re-read. I picked up The Gormenghast trilogy on recommendation of somebody in this group. So far it's been great. But it is a 1000+ page mammoth and will take me most of October to get through.

I’m generally not a fan of audio for fiction and especially for anything serious, so that will be an interesting experience.
I had to buy World's End from Ebay as my whole library system doesn't have a copy.
I really enjoyed The Terranauts by TC Boyle so have high hopes for this one.

Those are some heavy tomes you’re sporting.

Do we have any volunteers to facilitate discussion on either of these November BOTM which start tomorrow. Remember, it is 5 points for facilitating a BOTM discussion.

I will be putting up questions for Humboldt’s Gift but it may take a bit to get them posted, be patient with me. I’ve got to read my Chapter a Day of The Silmarillion.
I will be hosting the Worlds End discussion give me a chance to work out schedule :)
