I'm going to continue the series though. Is anyone else reading this?

(view spoiler)

But its Tuesday and I have already finished all of my papers due this week so WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Excuse me while I loose my mind. :)0_______@

I was very disappointed in the (view spoiler) ending.
About my earlier comment - (view spoiler)
I'm going to keep reading the series though because I already own them and the books by David Mack and Ward & Dilmore are bound to be good. They did great work on the Vanguard series (among others). This will most likely be the last time I read a book by John Vornholt though.

Since I tend to read Trek books really fast, I've picked up another book before A Time To Sow starts. I shouldn't be behind on the next one.
I like Vornholt's writing style, but if his other books have lazy resolutions I might give up on him too. That said, the book was enjoyable. It just sputtered out on the last few pages.

Andrew, I fully agree about that spoiler.

Beverly has a strong character in the TV series, but the book makes her a bit too 2 dimensional as a doting mother. She seemed almost non-existent in the book.
Troi was also far too physical with Riker when on duty for one of Picard's officers. 10 years of being around Picard should have had more of an impact.

The book is a quick read with fast-paced action. Picard is underutilized which makes sense based on his circumstance.
Linda - I didn't like Colleen at first either. She's a Ms. Know It All. Makes sense that Wesley would fall for someone like that since he wasn't far from being like that when he was younger. After awhile, I started to like her more. As Christine Vale said, "We all grew to like her..."

Also I didn't like Colleen at all and I didn't feel anything when she died. Can't wait for the next book.
