I'm reading the Crown of Sword chapter summaries today, so I should be ready to go for the Path of Daggers buddy read next month. Cheers!
Will be reading the overview! I think the next book i will jump back in with reading the entire book since these aren’t the best novels in the series.
Yea I dont think there are many of us that are upt to date. But plenty who are reading the series. I dont know if their plan is to catch up or just to try to follow our “notes” as they read. So I doibt we will have much of a conversation.
I am here! Just read the prologue :)I have read it before, so I may skimread the bits I did not find so interesting the first time, but I am actually looking forward to reading on with this series again :)

I am just over 200 pages in. I had forgotten how much I dislike the Perrin chapters in this book, which is a shame, as overall Perrin is one of my favourite characters. Is anyone else reading or am I all on my lonesome? 😜
Im here but havent started it yet. Im going to be doing the Tor re-read though, and dive back in on the next book.Ill post once I’ve started!
I'll likely be starting in a week or so. I fell behind a bit in the Harry Potter buddy reads so I'm trying to catch up over there first.

Starting tonight. I had to finish up Harry Potter # 4 (needed a WoT break).
Started, and got a few chapters in. I will likely sloooowly make my way through this book. Probably just a chapter or so per day.
I have made it up through Chapter One.Just a question: I really hate giving up on something, and I guess that is why I am still reading this series (that and Sanderson is on the horizon). Have any of you guys read both WoT and The Sword of Truth? That series is next on my list, but I don't want to start it unless it is better than WoT - this has too many characters, and moves too slow, and when it does have some action, it feels like Jordan glosses over the action and hurries through it.
Im having a hard time reading the Chapter summaries. Keep having to read back up on characters I dont remember and events Ive forgotten! Tempted to grab the book but Im already reaading a 1200 pager!
I'm about 25% in. It's much shorter than I remembered, although it still honestly does feel like a slog. These middle books are tough. I remember the next one, Winter's Heart, being much better. It's my favorite from the middling books, 7-11.

Good to hear bc Im gonna actually pick that book up and read it!
Sanderson's books are FANTASTIC. This series concludes with 3,000 pages of some of the best epic fantasy ever written. That's your motivation to continue. :)

Well I finished it. Not gonna sugar coat it...this one was a chore to get through as a re-read. Dropped it from 3* to 2*, which means it's now in my bottom three books in this series along with Crown of Swords (#7) and Crossroads of Twilight (#10). Oof.
Also, I noticed that we don't have a thread set up for the next book, which is set to begin in late January. Is anyone else sill interested in continuing on? Should we request threads be set up for books 9-14?

I for one, have slogged thru too much skirt smoothing and braid tugging to stop at the halfway point. I am going to keep going and get this series marked "DONE"
