THE CASTING FOR EVAN AND BEN AND CASSIE!!!

I love this book so much I could marry it, and when I heard it was being turned into a movie I was exited! but the reason I hate books being turned into movies is the casting. they never pick good male actors to play the super awesome male characters. they have Chole grace Moretz as Cassie- good pick - they have nick robinson as ben -not the greatest choice but fits- and Alex roe for Evan- HORRIBLE CHOICE - this happens all the time don't you think??? they never choose the best actor for the job!!! he looks like he is 30!!!!!!! I am very upset about this choice for evan. what are your thoughts!????!

I take the part of ben back!!!! Nick Robinson is perfect for him!!!I have the some thoughts for Evan.
I don't like Evan or Cassie... Ben is great though.
I think cassie is not the greatest choice but is not a bad choice, and like I said ben is perfect
Well, I'm not that really happy with Alex Roe being Evan, because he is handsome but not the cute/handsome/hot Evan that's in my mind. I have to watch the movie to give my critic, maybe then I'd love him. Cassie and Ben actors looks fine.
I like the choice for Cassie but I'm not sure of the others. Will have to wait and see. I do feel like they all look the part.Cassie

wait wait wait.... ITS GOING TO BE A MOVIE??? SO AWESOME ^^i dunno... ben perish looks cute and Evan could be better choice but if they act very well and the movie is going to be awesome and at least a bit faithful to the book i don't mind the looks ^^
Hmmm, First of OMGGG its going to be a movie :0I think that Chloe is a good Cassie and anyway the most important thing they have to get right is Evan!
Nick makes an okay Ben and I think he would make a better Ben then most other actors that I have searched up, the one part I am worried about is later on in the book when his personality changes and he turns more `rough`. I am quite excited to see him and Sammy *Awwww*

I mean yes he is a male and has dark hair and all but apart from that he is all wrong!His eyebrows are weird and make him seem weird and annoying. I am really hoping that they have good connections and thee cast get on well together and that it all works out though :3
see i am not alone. and cassie explains evan as 'hot' i do NOT know what world he is from to b considerd "hot"

I think Alexander Koch would have been a better Evan.
I personally really like the casting and I'm super excited for the film! I hope it does great and we get the whole series! I'm still super dissapointed in I am Number Four failing in the box office so hopefully this does good so we can finally get a book to movie franchise with ALIENS!
I really don't like Chloe. And Evan- I imagined him almost like a lumberjack?? But, whatever, as long as they can play the part convincingly I could probably get over who the actor is.

Huh... everyone's basically agreeing with the fact that Evan looks bad but Ben looks good. You're the first I've heard had a different view.
How about the casting for Ringer? Any word on that yet? I was thinking, in order to make the cast more diverse they should go with a non white actress. My only issue with the Fifth wave was the lack of diversity. Its like, alien invasion time, I doubt only white people are still alive folks. But I'm holding out hope for the next installment. I loved Ringer and I hope we get a POV from her for the next book.

i think casting for Cassie is good. I just don't like the casting for Evan and Ben. Maybe my opinion will change when i see stills or a trailer, but for now i dont really see the actors playing them.

hmm. this one I'm really not sure about. I don't think I like it. Maybe because she seems too blonde cheerleader to be a believable Ringer?

I agree. Ringer seemed more... i don't know, dark.
I really like the casting! From what I've seen of the If I Stay trailers and such, Chloe looks like an AMAZING actress (and she was already cast when I read the book, so I kind of pictured her as I read), and Ben is so cute! (And Ringer was cast, too! Maika Monroe! I think she looks very Ringer-ish, she kind of has that sharp-ness about her appearance!)
I really like Nick Robinson who is going to be Ben Parish. I don't like Alex Roe who is going to be Evan Walker. In my mind Evan reminds me of Nick Jonas, who I love. I think I like the actress for Cassie. I can't wait to see this. This is going to be a really intense movie.
I guess I am really old, cause I think the Evan casting is acceptable(not great) and Ben looks like he is 12 years old. Gross!I love the YA genre but I never can relate with the movies because the characters in my head and the ones on screen have a huge disconnect.
I think Nick Robinson is a good choice for Ben, but the other two (Cassie and Evan) is just.... no. I wonder why they always try to cast Chloe G. Moretz for any type of teenage character. I would like to see people who are not that well known. It's always refreshing.
I pictured Ben to be more muscular but Evan looks exactly how I thought he would, Cassie has the hair and size but I think the face is all wrong :P
I do like the casting choices and I'm eager to see how it turns out! They announced the casting choice for Sam Sullivan! He's such a cutie!

completely agree.
I'm not very picky, as I don't know a lot of actors and actresses. I mainly look for appearance similarities and well-played roles. There is nothing more annoying than a great character getting butchered by an inept acting job.
I love this book but the cast for the movie just don't like it. I mean Evan it seems like old and Ben it´s so young, and neither I liked Cassie -I'm so tired of see the same actresses in all the new movies -. Sorry but I think that they made a mistake when chose those actors. Sammy it's the only one that I like it.
