So one of these days past...caught in a freak raimstorm...everybody scurried for cover...picture the typical movie scene.
But there was this one couple...senior citizens both...he took a step ahead before he realised she'd never make it......she'd some trouble walking/bad hips???
He abou'turned and plonked them both back down on that park bench. And they stayed there getting soaked to the bone. Together.
He was spectacularly ugly. She was beaming, proud like.
Nobody else. Just us three. Soaked to the skin.

And I, yes this is blinking stupid but I stopped there across the road and back a little ways thinking that if this is madness, it is certainly... AND (I swear of nowhere)...this is what I want for Virginie...
There's precious little Oonagh believes in anymore.

Sooo...the implied but totally unintended cringeworthiness of my last on here only crashed on me a couple hours after I blithely said and went. And I couldn't even log on and delete. I've spent the best part of a week mentally kicking ymself.

If it makes you feel any better, I am twenty nine years old. I am also the completely pathetic case who made an utter cake of myself over the prat Dalin@R...a strange & extremely serious bird who came and went with what seemed like the errant will o' the wind...alternating casual insults with casual praise...which had me shaking like a leaf knowing not which way went where. For the best part of several months, Virginie. Until, the temporary vanishments apparently became a permanent condition. If there is any excuse for me, it is that he came under cover of Mark Lawrence (you know we can be totally manipulated using the Lawrence) + at a time when I was feeling particularly bedraggled and unwanted.

Mind you...all this all happened in full public view and is *sweeps arm across room* fully documented in the archives.

I have kicked myself magnificently and stingingly. Let it never be said that I laid unto myself with a light hand.

Your message reminded me so much of a story from my childhood. I think we talked about Carnival somewhere before and in my village there's street carnival with processions on two days and one day is a little smaller and especially for the younger ones. It's a tadition that all school classes from ground scool and kindergarden dress up for a choosen motto and join the procession. In forth grade, our class motto was medival and all girls should be princesses and all boys should be knights. But I really, really don't wanted to be a princess or wear a stupid dress, and yes maybe I threw a little tantrum. But in the end, I (as only girl) was a knight :)

Well then talk about going against the system and the the social norms this actually reminds of a time in primary school when I was 8

It was this costume day where everyone where a costume of some favourite character I don’t really remember well (I didn’t have one because of reasons) but this one guy decides to wear a princess dress I’m pretty sure he did it for the lols but it was cool and funny especially when he bought a hair extension but couldn’t wear it due to his short hair

Perhaps the most progressive thing to come from the neighbourhood and my school is made up of 90% Asian so yeah

Ok here's my contribution to @Anni's costume story parade and procession but I'm not in it...xept incidentally + in a pathetic way. (view spoiler)[So...during my inglorious but extremely varied days as a kindergarten teaching assistant...I was barely outta school? Sixteen? I started school at two (my brain is wired strange) I also started writing at two...with both hands 😎 BAAAWSS but in reality such a dumb fukk...where was I? Oh yea...there was this Christmas pageant/musical/I forget what it was called but we had the "choir" all dressed as angels and Qantas and trees and smowmen and....of course they got into fights and cried and drank litres of the orange and yellow Tang and then wanted to go to the loo and forgot the words and the snowmen unzipped themselves and the Santas pulled the feathers off the angel's wings and the trees and Wise Men punched each other and damaged the fake Xmas tree...the number of times I sneaked off to cry in frustration during that one dress rehearsal. Of course some of them saw me bcuz #kids and some were immediately simpatico but it only made the others worse... (hide spoiler)]
