HAA glad you liked it Lann but this was nothing…
Was actually building you a giant Blade Itself “Pogo Stick”…so you could jump across many old threads to a series of posts that I thought (you may find) interesting.
But it was laborious work for my techcrippled constructions :p and I had so many active BRs where ppl were pushing for laminute competition points that I gave priority to posting on those threads in order to siscourage them…it always helps push thru a slow patch in a book when you have spoilers to open. Heck, I even went on Worm to cheer tho I am not starting it until next year…
And besides, a post like this…for no other purpose than fun alone…can be read anytime, no? Even when you have finished.
I should also be done with Scythe and Dune in a few days…and we can start Thunderhead (if you still want to, that is)…I sure do. Finishing Dune should be quick but I am listening to Scythe and it took me…literally ten days to listen to three hrs worth of audio (at 1.5X) xcuz I listen in bed and kept falling asleep. But yesterday I went to the lark (had been craving the park for some days now but weekend was superbusy) and ha, I found I can listen while I walk…good to know…listened for an hour…rest should move now, no worries.

My favourite scenes in Scythe so far are (33%)
(view spoiler)

I am glad you are enjoying your Abby reread. GO CHRIS, get those extra dozen points…you have almost two full days left + like Anni says, its wonderful how some things we love get better and better the more we read them!
If you do still want my BladeItself pogo stick spoiler (??) I will post it eventually. Perhaps I shall anyway to celebrate you finishing the tourney, man. And I will be there thru your reread all the way until we start the new (to us) ones.

Now #go get those lastminute points…don’t even bother coming on GR and politely replying n all that jazz…we can talk after Oct 31…here’s your ride…it were a bit shortnotice but it comes fully loaded…I hope you like it! Recently kitted SirAnni out for Halloween and my efforts were widely appreciated :))

Ha, it was Virginie who loves sunflowers the most (poorkid I think she posted somewhere that all floweres xcept them make her sick) but thank you, my gallant, I take these immediately!

I really liked the picture of the monastery and that lookout (promontory??) would surely be lovely around now with all the redgolds and browns. But most of all I REALLY like the little descriptions you gave each picture! Autumn in the forest was a fave...and I will prolly hibernate all winter in that castle-ish SheLair.

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2348 comments Zaara, love the ride! lol..Needs a like button on those..

Hey, finished TBI last night and was kinda floored with the ending. Though I should have remembered it, eh? Saw that it's actually been 10 years since I read it the first time. Almost exactly.

Did you want to go right into Thunderhead when you finish Scythe? If so, I can line that up as my next audio and start when you're ready. I don't want to start Before They Are Hanged just yet, as that will take me awhile to plow through.

And yes, the pogo stick spoiler sounds pretty damn cool.

Ohk please gimme five days to finish Scythe and ten to post the Pogo Stick…it will then serve as an excellent and timely recap for you to dive into FL2 since you said you are gonna take a small break to finish your current read.

Yes, we can start Thunderhead immediately I'm done with Scythre.

Apparently, blobfish is an entire genre of sweatshirts, too:

Zaara | 4273 comments OY…what happened here???
:))))
There I was sloooowly typing out my motherhonking huge Dune spoilers and thinking all y’all will be fighting for those last points but it looks like everyone already went crazed with high spirits/ celebrating the Tome Raiders winning (? is this already decided for sure?)

@Lann…I had no idea ppl liked being siscouraged with pictures this much. Or that you loved the Batmobile this much…heh!!
Let’s…jezzt…ride the Thunderhead next week…

@Anni I had no idea you love sunflowers this much. I haven’t slept in thirtysix hours…my brain seems to be going into glue mode before shutting down…I think I just retyped literally the same sentence I just typed for Chris…haha! And not only that…I didn’t even think to copy-paest.

@Iain…eeeeeeeeew WTF maaaaan! That is frikkin slimy and gross and see his PURE EVIL…he left everything uncovered and unspoilered. So now we all have to stare at this huge UGHNESS and it drew the eye in hypnotic ways…
The last two aren’t that bad tho.

Oh...well that is certainly a festive hoodie Iain and more’n enough for a day or week or so…Halloween is a short holiday…but I dunno that I would want to see someone else’s face (all the time) wearing your words and thoughts…if you know what I mean…I am possibly babbling…like I were telling Anni…
Is it possible to (is the word morph?)…I dunno…transplant a Jack-O’L/pumpkin to your existing bimoji…that very first one you ever had on here?
Can’t you fiddle something in the cuttings and pastimgs? Like Neville (haha!) who transplanted his ears onto a cactus. Keep a copy of that original tho because everyone liked that one.

I did start today. I know, a little ahead of you. But laundry day is when I do my best audiobooking, unless I'm driving. But since I live 1 mile from work, I don't get much time in that way ;)

I won't get far ahead and you'll catch me soon, I fear not.

“Today the coastline was strewn with large chunks of twisted, gnarled driftwood. In the dwindling sunset, they seemed like the arms and legs of terrible creatures slowly heaving themselves out of the sand.
Citra crouched behind a driftwood 🐲 dragon, hiding within its shadow.”

Going out tonight so shall start Thunderhead moro.

I'm already fading on some of the details from it just a few months later. Old age really sucks lol....

No Christopher. I'm afraid that cover isn't going to fly either.
But nice of you to wait for me AND 😂 put this spin on it...really, tis kind...dunno what I did to deserve such friends but I sure am grateful for them.

Now I'm switching to ebook to catch up the quicker.
And the second link in Post #768 (which I initially said was just for me) gives swell recappy Book 1 spoilers. And what the sum of those spoilers + my posts above don't catch isn't worth the remembering, I don't think.

I began Book 2, but didn't get far at all. The Moontied Quartet BR began + Dan and Mayim arrivéd as a surprise and I got all squealy at the propsect of a girls reunion BR...its been more than 2 years, Lann.
Buuuuut I have one of those superlong oneoff commutes moro, so I'll be lookin' to glean some serious pages from THIS thunderin' mother...

Early chapters NONPLOT:
“They have me to ponder my own vastness, still so minuscule when set against the vastness of the universe.”

NooooooOOOH...where are the gleaning journals of Scythe Curie??
Heh, the 'Borg's' POV ain't bad either...so nice to see the TH has a sense of perspective, no??

😂😂😂 ha, she is going to have such a huge "What was I thinkin'?" moment somewhere down the line...prolly when she decides to settle down, applies for a job and everyone immediately assumes (view spoiler)

Yeah I'm loving the Greyson Tolliver track...its my favourite right now...much more than Anastasia (who isn't doing anything much this book except being PERFECT) & Rowan (who turned dark and moody)...meh!
But its expected in a middle book and this Bk 2 is by far one of the thrillingest middle books I've read. I *yerk* how Citra is being built up in butter jezzt won't melt in her mouth Mary Stu ways as the postergirl of the "NewGen" Moderates and Rowan is being reviled for being "radical". What choice did he have? My poor thoughtful baby...in book 1 Citra was always the more competitve/hardass one...prolly its just that she is still "in the system" and has Curie to mother her a bit. And Rowan had what? Goddard and then brutal ostracism. That'll do it...😂😂

“Greyson dug inside himself to find some appropriate attitude.”

Ha 😂😂😂 this is SO me! I'm actually very reserved in real life.
Did you ever go thru an "unsavoury" phase in younger days, Lann? You know what I mean...altho the use the of this word...to someone who doesn't know the world of the Arc it just would just read like something that doesn't taste sweet.

Ohk I read Parts 3 and 4 and my full log is on the thread... thought we should help populate it a bit in case someone pops by on a solo/duo read, as suddenly DID happen with Nevernight.

I can start anytime Chris. Tonight even, if you have the book on hand. Glad to see how much you're enjoying the Moontide Quartet...always feels good when something I recommend...jezzt...clicks. Sorry I haven't been doing good at keeping up on Mage's Blood, I know you waited as much as you were able...just been very distracted these days.
Hope you're feeling on top of whatever life stuff that was last week. You don't talk so much but you're a good 'un, Lann so it bothers me when you're not feeling right about something.
Are you thinking about playing in the Team Tourney for 2020? I hope you'll come, I saw you have alerts on for the thread...

Tonight sounds good for The Toll. I'm glad we didn't have to wait as long as those that read Thunderhead when it first came out.

Don't worry about Mage's Blood. You'll have time to catch up. I've started the second one but my reading has slowed up a bit since last weekend's mad rush. They're big books, and there are four of them lol. You'll catch me eventually...

Stuff is working out. At least there's now a light at the end of the tunnel, so not as stressed out as I was....Thanks for checking :)

Though the Team Tourney isn't really stressful. It's pretty easy to keep up with, even lagging behind everyone else.

Here's to eventually...
Btw I already finished Part 1of the Toll but Ima stop there and do LHoG 2 for a couple days.

Siobhan and I were just talking yest...we reckon we's gonna be super late on Moontide Book 2 and instead of spazzing it over Xmas with a jerky BR that just stresses us out we'll prolly just push it to Jan and that's ok, two still counts as a BR for points...

Not to be brief, but someone has to, right? ;) Anyway, thank you. Your words actually pushed me over the edge and into volunteering on the Tourney Challenge. Your words are true, of course, and I can't let my OCD keep me from being part of things here, even if it's (at times) a small part.

Well, I haven't started The Toll yet, but I did buy it and download from Audible. So ready to go, hopefully today but definitely by tomorrow.

All my reading has slowed down a bit since last weekend when I was rocking it. Ebb and flow I guess. Still working on Scarlett Tides, but just a chapter here and there. No worries on catching me eventually. I might even go with the idea of stretching it out over more months.
