Personally I have just read the 10 Erikson book of the fallen series and that was fine for me.
My best guess if you want to mix the others in would be publication order, but maybe someone who has read them all has a better suggestion.

For reading order I like this article. It's basically how I did it.

You can read Bauchelain and Korbal Broach anytime. There stories don't connect with the plot of the main series.

Night of Knives is after prologue of Gardens of the Moon, so it makes no sense to me read it after Midnight Tides.

Other than this, publication order, definitely

I agree. Id either say after Gardens or after MOI

Well, events of DG and MOI are placed at the same time I think, and at the end of MOI one character begins to tell the main story of DG, so, it's not that easy, sorting even main storylines to one timeline, not talking about many sidelines.. xD

This is the reading order I have recommended for years now:
Gardens of the Moon, SE
Deadhouse Gates, SE
Memories In Ice, SE
House of Chains, SE
Midnight Tides, SE
*Night of Knives, ICE
Bonehunters, SE
Reapers Gale, SE
*Return of the Crimson Guard, ICE
Toll the Hounds, SE
Dust of Dreams, SE
*Stonewielder, ICE
The Crippled God, SE
*Orb, Sceptre, Throne, ICE
*Blood and Bone, ICE
*Assail, ICE (release date set for this year)
I would wait to read any of ICE's books until after Midnight Tides due to several characters story lines in ICEs books that interwind with SE's characters (wouldn't want to learn something before you're supposed to. And for anyone who hasn't read ICEs books....they are a must read!

I still think reading NoK after MT it's too late. But again, it's only my opinion, same as my recommendation for reading Bauchelain and Korbal Broach books before MoI.

I think I'll go with David's order
It's not to different than Shelley's
I'm gutted that I have an arc of assail but will end up reading it later than you lot.
So many books
So little time

It's another series of novellas (I think, either way they are shorter). It starts with Blood Follows.

Bauchelain and Korbal Broach are two characters specialized in demonic and necromantic magecraft. Quick Ben encounters them in Memories of Ice. They also appear in one of ICE's novels.
So far SE has written 5 novellas about their shenanigans and escapades. Part of the Malazan world but not connected to the MBotF series.
If you can stomach or even like dark and quite macabre humor, you should definitely check out The Tales of Bauchelain and Korbal Broach:

My reading order and a chronology:

Books mentioned in this topic
Memories of Ice (other topics)Blood Follows (other topics)
Night of Knives (other topics)
Read all the malazan books
I realise the the empire books take place long before the fallen but structure is set up for someone knowing who is who and reading a back story.
Also the books of Bauchelain and Kobal Broach, should go where? After moi??
Also should all the empire books be In a certain order?
I just snagged a arc of assail but I'm guessing this is the last thing I'll read?
