First quarter - (view spoiler)[I was both eager to start this one, as the series as a whole really appealed, but also hesitant as I had heard that the first two books were a selection of short stories. I'm not always a big fan of SS collections so didn't know how I would find these, especially when I didn't even know if I was a fan of the series or not, yet. I found the first section really accessible and thought it pretty clearly opened the world up, even though I do still have questions. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the stories connected to a larger central narrative. (hide spoiler)]

I'm starting this now. I really want to get into this series and start watching the Netflix-Show after reading all books, but I'm not a huge fan of Shortstorie collections.

Yes, I do. I know what you mean, this book feels not like a collection of different stories but more like a whole book, kinda hard to describe but so far I really like the world building and Geralt.

I couldn't put it down and can't wait to read more about Geralt and his world. Of this series? Actually all of them, if that works for you? Or maybe just 2-3 and the rest in May. I haven't planned anything else, whatever fits your reading plans best. :)

I can definitely do The Time of Contempt, Baptism of Fire, and The Tower of the Swallow in April. Maybe we could schedule them for the beginning of the month and then either get to the last two books at the end of the month or the beginning of May, if we run out of time? Any dates are good with me, though :)

Sounds good to me. What do you think, how much time to you want to plan for each book? Time of Contempt on the 1st, Baptism of Fire on the 5th and Tower of Swallow on the 9th, or do you want more time between the books?

Yes, it's on Netflix and what i heard about it was really good.

Third quarter - (view spoiler)[I really enjoyed Dandelion's inclusion in this story. He brought some humour to the action. Their interactions with the devil and the involvement of the Elves wasn't anything I anticipated and I felt a little confused by the conclusion of it, however. I'm looking forward to the last story, given that it's the title one. (hide spoiler)]

Fourth quarter - (view spoiler)[I remained so impressed with this collection throughout. I think the last two stories were my favourites, probably because Dandelion featured in both. I really enjoyed learning of Yennifer's story and hope she features in more of them, in the most collection. The whole thing closed on such a cliffhanger. I wonder what was happening to Iola?
