I have this book and it is a first edition. Page count is 283, plus 8 pages of illustrations (photos). Worldcat has it listed at 275 pages, plus 9 pages of illustrations (photos). Worldcat is incorrect.

Huh, when I did a title search on Worldcat, only the one incorrect edition was listed. Weird.

The 283 page count does not include the 8 pages of photos, which are located in the centre of the book.

If the photo pages are to be included in the page count, total page count would be 291.

Additional unnumbered material (photos, maps, etc.) in the middle of the book would not be added to the page count. If it were at the end, immediately following the text of the book, we would.
