I haven’t read John Green in a while and this is reminding me how much I enjoy his writing. 😄
Chapter 1-8: (view spoiler)[ I’m not going to lie I’m finding the whole plaster on her finger thing quite annoying but once you get past that in the first few chapters it’s quite good. I feel bad for Aza as she doesn’t want to upset Davis - there is definitely a romance coming - but she doesn’t want to disappoint Daisy either. I haven’t got too much else to say about it at the moment 😂 (hide spoiler)]

Maybe, I guess I don’t have any experience with OCD, so I can’t relate. I think it was heavily referenced in the first chapter which made it hard for me to get into it. Now, in chapter 19, i think it is mentioned at the right points, which makes it much more readable. Also, I maybe just like the character of Aza too much and don’t want her to self sabotage, so when it mentions the finger thing, i want her to be focusing on what is going on around her :))

Side note: Lots oil the covers on good reads are different to the covers of the books i own, is that because the covers are different in the US? I’m from the UK.

Many different publishing companies may publish some books with different covers, and new editions for good books keep coming up. You can, however, find your editions as well here. Where the details of the book are mentioned, there is an option to view different editions of the same book.

I also don't have much experience when it comes to John Green. The Fault In Our Stars is his only other book that I have read so far.
But I can see that his writing style is quite unique than most other contemporary authors.

I was so right about the self sabotage thing! Chapter 13: (view spoiler)[ Ughhhhh! I hate that she finally kisses Davis but then pulls away because of her OCD. I get that that’s what OCD makes you do but I feel sooo bad for Davis as he doesn’t understand and also like this is such a cute relationship which she is sabatoging (obviously through no fault of her own). Lol I wish it would just end happily but clearly it isn’t going to now :/ (hide spoiler)]

Just read Chapter 11, which means I am almost halfway through the book. But why is it so hard to get into.
I still can't say for sure where the plot is going..

I’d agree Finished: (view spoiler)[ I still like Davis and Noah. I wish they ended up together, but it wouldn’t be very realistic. I agree with how the blogs were good, but it’s still from Aza’s opinion, we only see her interpretation of everything, which is an interesting stylistic choice when she’s mentally unwell, but it does mean you don’t forget about what she goes through because you are always in her head.

As I said in my review I wish we got more insight into the joggers mouth at the end of the book. Aza had been so invovled the whole time and then we just found out on the news what had happened. And why didn’t they investigate when they were down there? Like the chapters1-12 Daisy would have let Aza leave without looking.
I found the ending to be rather rushed and different to the rest of the book. The characters seemed to be stlightly different, but maybe that’s just me (hide spoiler)]

I hated how Davis was like "oh yeah, if you're not ready to kiss, it's fine," and then like one page later literally kisses Aza. All the side characters are just meh honestly. I hope Davis helps Noah with dealing with his feelings. Also, I hated how Daisy was just like "Don't worry about the kid. He's not our problem now that we got the money." like girl, no (hide spoiler)]

I agree that the Pickett mystery being solved was quite rushed. But I didn't consider it to be a mystery book in the first place, so that works.
