A teenage girl of normal weight (maybe a few extra pounds ) has a argument with her mum. I think she has a little sister too. She sneaks out the house, not sure if its to run away or the day can't remember. She gets lost in the woods. I think she finds a tree she thinks is familiar. She gos back to her house except it is not her house someone else she doesnt know lives there.
She finds she is in a different world, but has many of the same people in it a parallel world where it is against the law to be fat. You have to weigh in every day and sugar and cookies and stuff are illegal. She finds her family living now in a very poor area because her dad is in a kind of prison for fat people. He has to stay there till he has lost weight and learned etc.
Everyone at the high school has to do a sport and eat healthy. Everyone knows her ( seems the other version of herself has gone into her world)
She ends up being sent to the detention centre/ prison type place for being overweight.
I remember she meets a boy in there. They end up escaping and become very wanted. They join some underground organisation which is fighting back against the government.
I remember when they finally in the last book make it back to her world they do a internet search on the boy and her world the boy died so he can stay there as there isnt 2 of them living in that world. Her parents find someone for him to live with I think.
The main story line is about it being illegal to be overweight or eat any type of junk food, sweets, candy desserts etc this is all banned or you go to prison.
Ohh I also remember she was making cookies in secret and selling them/or giving them away to kids at her school part of how she got caught and sent to prison I think.
