Bookstore/Library/books are a common trope in the cozy mystery genre. How does this book stack up against some of the other more popular ones, such as the Cat in the stacks, Booktown, Black cat bookshop, Dido Hoare, etc.?
What do you think of the librarian, who is not really a librarian character? (she is a frustrated paleopathologist)
What are your thoughts on the romantic subplots?
What do think about the change in perspective throughout the book, Professor Ryan and Megan Clark?

I could not connect with the sleuth at all. I found her arrogant, unable to laugh at herself. Just in general took her Paleopathologist self way too seriously, especially considering she couldn't get a job in her field.
I much prefer the Miranda James library series, the Black cat bookshop, and Dido Hoare to this. For the sleuths and the writing style, as well as romantic subplots.
The romantic subplot here was just...odd. I leave it for you to read and decide for yourself.
I hope the glass blowing book is better otherwise I'll feel bad for picking bad books for my month:(
