Just finished it. I LOVED it!!!! Chaol has always been my favorite character and I am so happy he got a book where we could learn more about his past and how he feels about everything. And all the new characters are amazing too!

So I was NOT a Chaol fan either, but this book really helped redeem him. Also, I really liked Sartaq and Nesryn and their adventures. Also, you find out so much important stuff throughout this book, it's absolutely worth the read. Don't skip this one! I almost did, but decided to read it anyways and man, I'm so glad I did!

YES CAN WE JUST TAKE A MOMENT TO APPRECIATE HOW BADASS AELIN IS EVEN WHEN SHES IN A TOMB SPREADING INFLUENCES LIKE A BOSS. I dont even get how she manages to influence so many people. Who can get an army over life debts and people who care and look up to you??

Aelin is totally badass! I'm in complete agreement with you! She's very calculating in getting people to give her armies due to a life debt. She's absolutely one of my favorite female protagonists!

I'm about 3/4 of the way through but I can't resist spoilers. Point I want to make is I ship Yrene with Kashin. I didn't like Chaol's attitude in this book. I think he needs time to cool down and recover more fully before he thinks about a relationship, but that's just my pov.
I'm still hoping Kashin ends up with Yrene, you never know...

Reading almost the end, saw my Kashin/Yrene ship is sunk. Oh well. Back to focusing on Rowan and Aelin.

I read it, and even though I’m not a fan of Chaol, I really enjoyed it!
The ending was INSANE and almost made me cry.
I’m SO ready for the next book, I miss Rowan and Aelin.

Tower of Dawn...I dived in it without expecting much since I don't like Chaol (the time when I used to love him so much feels like another lifetime) BUT NESTAQ OMG. LIKE I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

ToD is worth anyone's money. This book has the best world-building factor yet in the whole series. I could literally smell and feel the Southern Continent and I loved the concept of the Khaganate.

Though, I feel the Chaol and Yrene relationship was rushed. They went from hating each other to marrying each other in one single book. Rowaelin took like three books to marry??? I was shipping Yrene with Kashin too and that ship just sunk. I am happy for Chaol, however. A part of me remembers the man who sold himself to his father just to get the woman he loved far away to Wendlyn. I would never forget that, despite of everything.

Nesryn and Sartaq though...they are the most normal couple in the entire series XD and for once it feels that someone is actually courting without deadly intensity looming over them.

MAEVE'S REVELATION JUST KNOCKED THE BREATH OUT OF ME. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT AT ALL.

Fireheart at the end...*sobs* I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE LAST BOOK AND THERE ARE STILL NINE MONTHS LEFT.

Soooo slooooow during so many parts for me, but I ended up absolutely adoring it.

I hated Chaol throughout the series and then this book happened and I had a total change of mind. Character development ftw!

I absolutely loooooooooved Chaol+Yrene. Yreol? Chaene? Nothing works :(
