Grief is the Thing with Feathers

What a wonderful little book. Grief is the Thing with Feathers is a quirky, unique, funny, heartbreaking, and thoughtful exploration of a family's experience of grieving their wife and mother. Grief displays itself as a crow that takes up residence with the family, and each character, the husband and the two sons, have different interactions with the crow. It sounds bizarre, and it is, but it works and is just lovely. It is very short; I read it in one sitting. I loved it and am sure it will make it to my Top Ten of 2017.
