And Clara's reaction to Simon paying attention to Isabelle when she hadn't noticed his attention before the 'shadowhunters' is a little hypocritical, jealousy over nothing.

(view spoiler)[ I have to admit that was a good few chapters, full of action and well unrequited love, birthday surprises and well anger, especially from Clary. I am kind of glad she lost her temper with Alec and told him some truths ok and a half truth but finally she was less damsel more powerful and strong like her mother had been described countless times. I felt very sorry for Simon though when he's actually come to tell Clary that he loved her, right after she'd been outside the bedroom kissing Jace. I am glad Simon was angry with her and no Impassive though. (hide spoiler)]

Up to chapter 21
(view spoiler)[ clary held her own pretty well against the invisible barrier and in going after Hodge, fingers crossed that she now gets stronger and stronger and doesn't have to play the damsel in distress. Even though if I were in her position I think I'd be wanting to learn and fight and defend myself, if she is a shadow hunter then she should be able to learn to fight and pick it up pretty quickly (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ everything seems to have changed in this book since the revelation of Jace and Clary being brother and sister there seems to be a tense atmosphere when they’re both in the same room. It was interesting to see Jace start a fight with a pack of werewolves lol the chapters seem so long though :( (hide spoiler)]

I love the way that Cassandra Clare builds a wonderfully detailed world and then tosses you into the middle of it. I have read the first few chapters. I love it so far

This is at least my 3rd time reading this book and I love it so much! City of Bones chapter 8 (view spoiler)[ So Jocelyn and Luke are Shadowhunters. Pretty cool! Alec is such a dick at this point of the book, but once we find out why it's easier to understand. In fact, all the Shadowhunters are kind of rude, they think they're superior. I like Simon, he's so sweet. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 13 (view spoiler)[ Poor Simon, getting turned into a rat. And I understand Clary's frustration with the Shadowhunters, not really caring what happens to Simon since he's mundane. I love Magnus, how can you not? He's funny and over the top. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ the chapters feel so long sometimes and I’m struggling a little with it but I did enjoy the scene with Jace and his father in the jail and how he actually admired Jace’s resolve at not to show pain. Simon and Clary seem awkward around one another especially when kissing and again Clary runs when Jace is trapped in the jail cell in the city of bones (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Well that was an interesting chapter meeting the Seelie Queen although I feel sorry for Simon and well Jace and Clary too actually. That was intense, Jace’s charm on the queen was sickening but it worked, Jace and Clary kissing is obviously the main point in this although they’re brother and sister you can tell there is much more than sibling love there no wonder Simon left.
