I'm yet another person adding to the chorus of PBTers who have read and enjoyed this book for the Space Opera tag. Thanks Nicole for the recommendation. You must feel like a rock star this month with so many of us taking up your recommendation!

This book really tapped in to my Star Trek loving side, and it is obvious that Chambers was heavily influenced by the show. I loved that aspect! My inner nerd was definitely satisfied! I found Kizzy (spelling? I listened to the audio so didn't see how it was spelled) annoying to begin with but her annoying characteristics ended up being endearing. An all round very satisfying, fun read. The audio was very well done. I kinda hope that they make it in to a TV series. I'll move on to the next installment at some stage for sure.

Yes! Kizzy's audio rendition was very annoying at the beginning

Hahaha! A space opera recommending rock star!

Almost everyone who read this feels the same way about Kizzy. She was SUPER annoying at first, but she quickly grew in me and I adored her at the end. In my mind, she was this brainiac teenager. Linger than everyone and lacking some social skills, but cared deeply about everyone and as just trying to figure out life.

I have no idea if that is what the author intended, but that is what got stuck in my brain!
