The story begins with Mallory being confronted by Corey Addison. Were you able to figure out what was going on from this scene?

[Anita]

It's really hard to think back to my first impressions after there was so much that happened in the book. Mallory was anxious and frightened that she had been recognized. When Corey grabbed her and Kendra intervened, I was surprised that Mallory took off instead of actually confronting the situation.

It was when she took off I suspected she was under the control of someone.

I realised that all the perpetrators from the previous book's crime syndicate had not been apprehended and this was a young woman being emotionally blackmailed into doing horrible things. I'm trying to rack my brain if the name Corey Addison was mentioned in the last book. It's not ringing a bell at this point.

Thanks Jonetta. That's good to know as I only read the last book 4 weeks ago and thought I was losing it! Although I've probably read about 20 books since then so it was possible I just couldn't recall him.

I remember thinking I’d missed something when I read this story. Rose made it feel like we should know these people and I was fairly far along when it occurred to me I shouldn’t.

I was suspicious immediately. Maybe it's "knowing" Karen Rose - maybe just a guess - but I felt it had something to do with porn & her being on the web. His words & actions toward her was a big clue for me.
