If someone had told me a year ago that I was about to fall in love, go on an epic road trip, ride a Triceratops, sing on a bar, and lose my virginity, I would have assumed they were on drugs.

Well, that is, until I met Beckham.

Beck was mostly to blame for my recklessness. Gorgeous, clever, undeniably charming Beck barreled into my life as if it were his mission to make sure I never took living for granted. Beck was the plot twist that took me by surprise. Two months before I met him, death was knocking at my door. I'd all but given up my last scrap of hope when suddenly, I was given a second chance at life. This time around, I wasn't going to let it slip through my fingers.

We set out on a road trip with nothing to lose and no guarantees of tomorrow.

Our road trip was about young, reckless love.

Chapter 1-5 (view spoiler)[ Ok, so I am assuming that noone told Abby about stranger danger? Beck is seriously weird. Who just walks into someone in a funeral parlor and talks to them? Then insists that they go on a road trip with them. Then Abby even agrees??
I can understand because she has been sheltered her whole life but sheesh this is one way to start her rebellious streak. I am hoping that Caroline does not die before she gets back though (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 6-10 (view spoiler)[ Very freeing story so far! Beck is a bit strange like he has no apprehension about things, which further makes me believe that he is ill. Abby on the other hand has loads of apprehension about EVERYTHING. I just want to reach in to the book, shake her shoulders and say 'loosen up!'
I also free that she is only doing this not to gain experience but because she thinks this is what she is supposed to be doing, also what is her obsession with trying to get laid like immediately. Ummm who is in the Urn? Is it really her dog... Don't think so. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 11-15 (view spoiler)[ I think this was some of the most depressing chapters ever...How does she just die! I mean I knew that she would but she told Abby 8 months. That is so sad. At least we know what was in that urn. Paper...hmm. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16-20 (view spoiler)[ So he showed up to Caroline's funeral.. it was very sweet. A bit wierd... I still want to know what his deal is. He is too mysterious to be this far in. Finally they have sex, I am thoroughly impressed that they didn't try to sugar coat it, they let it be PAINFUL since it was her first time. Just like in real life. Bravo for that! (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-4: (view spoiler)[ so I love the MC already. Her inner dialogue is hilarious and I love that she's quick on her feet - ESP when a random guy hits on her in a funeral home lol. I wonder what the deciding factor to let him come on her road trip will be... (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 21-25 (view spoiler)[ so she went back on the road trip, they had more sex.. they went to Marfa and saw the lights.
But her heart starts to reject her heart, and the trip is cut short because she was unconscious and Beck had to get her to the hospital...
So the one part that really pissed me off... Beck got accepted to his program to MIT... he decides to not go because Abby is in the hospital... my man you just met her!! you just going to give up your dreams for a two week trip? I mean I get that you are in love but sheesh... (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 26-30 (view spoiler)[ ok so fast forward a year later and Abby is apparently healthy, she got accepted to Boston University and her major is for writing. I will say that Abby's note that she posted around MIT was really cute and romantic! (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 5-9: (view spoiler)[I now know what the "ride a Triceratops" in the synopsis means! They are really cute together but I have this feeling that there's something more to Beck's story than he's let on. I mean, no one just hordes in on a road trip quite like this. (hide spoiler)]
