I personally think that Darrow has a lot of potential (I just started the book) even though at first I thought he was a bit annoying, I don't really know why.
I also really like Eo and I think she is A M A Z I N G.

Right now I'm on page 52 so I haven't read too many but it looks like Darrow accepts his color and he thinks he can't change it, but he also hates his superiors (as the most part of the people); meanwhile Eo wants to fight the sistem, she doesn't know how yet but she wants to, she looks tired and doesn't want the same life as his dad for her husband and neither her mom's life for her. I think Darrow will change his mind and Eo will help him with it. They're both so powerful and I think they will try to fight together till the end.

I completely agree. I think both of them can do lots of awesome things!

I didn't expect that plot twist at the end of the first part. I like how Pierce Brown introduces us this new world. It's not a slow beginning, neither a tiring one, it's fast, impacting, heartbreaking and revolutionary. Is one of the best introductions of a sci-fi book series I've ever read.

Nildene (naspagnuolo) | 3 comments I'm not sure I like Darrow very much, even after the plot twist of part one (I'm only at the beginning of part 2 atm) and I don't know what it is, but he kind of gets on my nerves a bit – I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt though and hoping that by the end of the book I like him because even though it took me a few chapters to get with the fast-paced, info-packed story, I'm actually really enjoying this book! :)

I felt the same way! I think it's a very original way to start a sci-fi dystopian novel and I'm sooooo excited to keep reading it!

It was kind of hard for me to get into it too, but now that I am at the beginning of part 3 I have to say that I am really enjoying it and so far it's being really interesting, so I recommend you to keep reading to see if you really like it or not! Enjoy the reading!!!

Yeah, I got partway through part 2 and basically couldn't put it down – my only mistake was not have the second book ready to go when I finished it 😂 but I did like Darrow by the end of it!!
