Hi readers! I was looking for a romance in which, at the beginning of the story, the heroine is abused and tortured but then saved by the hero. She is vulnerable, hurt and traumatized by what she has been through. They begin to live together and the hero tries to help her overcome her past.
Some examples are Ghost by A.Zavarelli and Predator by Michelle Horst
NB. I would prefer if the heroine was a young woman and not middle-aged
I would be very grateful if you could help me!

Yes I have personally read them. I try not to recommend ones I haven't but will on occasion.

Shattered & Scarred is my favorite and on my re-read list. But they are all enjoyable. Nothing below a three star for me. I think I rated them 4 and up if I remember right.
