Im lloking for a book that i read in junior school and it was about a young girl who finds out she was adopted and meets her mother. Her mother had a teen pregnancy. She has a younger adoptive brother and her adoptive parents are quite wealthy and live in Sydney or Melbourne I think? Its a book for young teenagers. There is also a movie. It is set in the 80s to 90s. The girl plays piano and her father buys her a yacht/boat for her birthday. One of the scenes I remember is her in a white playing the piano + plus one of her on the back of a truck driving through a farm waving goodbye to her mother.
