Could we get ARCs of Lu's Warcross?
date
newest »

We received an ARC for Warcross a few months ago. Marvin has already read it and lent me his copy. We're probably going to share our thoughts on the book on the podcast in the near future. Hopefully, we'll have the opportunity to speak with Marie Lu herself once she's settled down from her book tour.

Hm... the only publisher I can think of that specializes in strictly Asian American literature is Salaam Reads, Simon & Schuster's new Muslim YA and children's books imprint.
The ARCs we receive are usually mailed to us by publishers or donated to us by friends from the local Asian American community. We sometimes reach out to authors and publicists asking for copies, which can take a while depending on their response time. I know a lot of bloggers also apply to get electronic copies of ARCs through NetGalley.
Honestly, Asian American literature is still very much a niche. Best bet is to contact the publicity departments of publishing houses. I know big publishers like Penguin actually have galley request forms, expediting the process. Hope that helps!

Krystal, do you have a blog too? I'm interested in ARCs but don't have a book blog, altho I could share thoughts on my Instagram account.
Warcross, the new sci-fi thriller from bestselling YA author Marie Lu, officially pubs on September 12.
Maybe we can get ARCs or are they out already?
