Wrong (?) pages number?

I have the Kindle edition of this book (asin: B00ZP64F28).
At both Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...) and GR (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) the pages number is 467.
But, the number of pages in the Kindle book itself is 504 for the body of the book. There is also some back material which should not be counted, and TOC and such at the beginning which should.

So, should I fix this for this edition?

For Kindle we go by the publisher (Amazon), so 467 is the correct page number.

Even though there is a discrepancy between what is written in the site and the book itself? (this book has page numbers internally)

And moreover, it kind of defeats the purpose of tracking the progress by page numbers.

Yes, page count is reader dependent, so policy is to use whatever Amazon supplies.

Hello David,
A lot of kindle books have pages count. This count is not affected by the device you're reading the book on, the size of the font, etc.
An example for this is the book I'm currently reading.
It has 508 pages on both my tablet, smartphone and Kindle for PC.

For ebooks (including Kindle) we stick to what the publisher says.
