Rachel (readingrachbow) Welcome to Reading Glasses Readalongs! How does this work? Well some might like the title “Book Club”, but since Brea and Mallory have ideas for an official Book Club for the podcast, we’ve decided to do Readalongs. Both Chrissy and Rachel will lead two different readalongs. Sometimes the readalong may be focused on a certain genre (like fantasy), or just a general category (like Young Adult) but regardless, come read with us!

Here are the basic rules:

Be respectful of others opinions. We aren’t all going to agree on a book, that’s fine, but please keep your comments respectful of others opinions, as well as the authors who wrote the book.

DO NOT SPOIL! We will have posts going up each week that add about a quarter of the book that can be discussed (you’ll see the whole reading schedule posted before you start). Please make sure when you’re posting in these posts that you aren’t a jerk and don’t spoil, for anyone involved.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please let us know, either on this post, or in a private message

Alrighty folks. We're going to be reading 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern for out readalong, starting September 1st. It won by a landslide!

Conveniently, this book is seperated into parts, so we will basically be going by them, maybe with a few tweaks. I'll be setting up folders for each section we read, and will set up how long we have for each one etc.

Remember, these are guidelines. Read at whatever speed YOU feel comfortable. All of the folders will be open at the same time, so if you're ahead and want to talk about that section, go ahead and enjoy! If you're slower, and don't finish it within the month, the discussions will definitely stay open after we've finished ☺

Looking forward to reading with you all. I actually haven't read this one yet so it should be exciting!

Wonderful! I tried to read this book once before and just couldn't get through it. Gave me "book guilt" because I must be the only person on the planet who didn't just live live live this book. Maybe reading along with others will help me get through it - I'm willing to try!

I hope it works for you! I never really got a chance to read it when it was huge, so I'm looking forward to trying it too 😊

Meg Blasi | 5 comments I picked The Night Circus up from my library today. I wasn't expecting it to be so large, I hope I can keep up! I'm excited to get started 😊

Allie (antlersantlers) | 1 comments The audiobook for this is narrated by Jim Dale (who also narrated the Harry Potter books and Pushing Daisies on TV) and it is SPECTACULAR! I only got halfway through it (because I had to return the playaway), but I totally loved it.
