Ch1 (view spoiler)[Looks like this is picking up a little after the last book finished, with our main character awake - but still paralysed - as her mother and sister escape the scene of carnage (left in the last novel) along with the resistance.

I love that Penryn just suddenly sad up when the paralysis wore off, with no warning whatsoever to everyone who thought she was dead that nope, still alive! XD (hide spoiler)]

Ch11 (view spoiler)[What was it exactly about Penryn that made the gang members want to potentially kill her? Why were they after her? Was it because of her Mom? Her sword? Her sister? What made them follow her in the first place?

...and what exactly is Paige hungry for? Is it human flesh, or perhaps angel flesh? The angels definitely caused some change in hunger patterns when they experimented on her, and if she was meant to be part of a gang of wild... whatevers... and a weapon, surely they would do something to help her take out their enemies? Ch24 (view spoiler)[I love how the twins are behind Penryn's rescue from the police car - without directly doing anything ;D Just "accidentally" dropping the keys (that are helpfully labelled with what they are) in front of one of the only people who would defy the resistance to save her. I really love those two, and once again I can't help but compare them to Fred and George. So great XD (hide spoiler)]

I gotta say though, she kept her calm incredibly well considering the aerial flight and battle over the ocean that she was involved in. I would've been scared stiff o.o;;

And falling into the ocean on purpose so that Raffe has a better chance of fighting back? WOW. (hide spoiler)]

And Beliel is... well... not himself... drained dry, but still potentially alive and being used as essentially a surfboard by Paige and carried by the locusts. And Penryn was able to get some revenge on one of the angels who took her sister with the sword, who is apparently OFFICIALLY named Pooky Bear after all. Oops. (hide spoiler)]

This book is really good I have finally gotten to it and it was well worth the wait.

I like how all the characters are so much more developed this time it adds more depth to the story.

I really like Penryn she is such a good protagonist this book is so good will be starting book 3 soon.

Also the romance in this book is so good not to rushed I like Raffe's and Penryn's chemistry is just really good.

I wonder what will happen with Raffe's and Penryn's relationship in the next book. He seems to be doing well at keeping her at a distance, but I wonder how long...
