Welcome to Day two of the read-a-thon! Here you can let everyone now how your read-a-thon is going, what books you're reading, etc.!

Amanda 021101 (amanda_panda) Good luck! :)
I plan on finishing Crown of midnight and then move on to A torch in the night.

Dóri (dorodor) | 8 comments I've just finished Big Rock and now I really wanna finish True Stories of World War II, however, that's not something to fly through..

Good morning! I've got a bit of a later start to my day today. Oops. But, I think I'm going to be easier on myself than yesterday. My plan is to start Siege and Storm (buddy read with BooksOfTheWestWing 😁) and see how much I can get through. I may also pick up Nevernight again or listen to more of the Winter audiobook. We shall see!

Kay (bookishbroccoli) | 14 comments Good morning everyone!

My goal is to finish The Siren and then put a huge dent in Poison Study.

Happy reading!

message 8: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Miller Good morning everyone. Soo since work I haven't accomplished much so my goal today is to continue reading The Book Thief in between calls. Tomorrow I'm off so I'll be able to put a good dent into it then

message 11: by Amanda (new)

Amanda 021101 (amanda_panda) Hi everybody! I hope everybody is doing good!
Im not doing so good. I was planning on staying up late reading last night but i fell asleep because... I'm a grandma. But now i got coffee and i will not give up. I will finish this book before school starts (Thursday) I don't know if i get much reading done when school starts so im doing everything i can to read as much as possible right now!

message 12: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Rae (kanksbooklife) | 10 comments I am not as far as I want to be, but read about 60 pages in The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima. I am also making progress on the Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

message 13: by Amanda (new)

Amanda 021101 (amanda_panda) Oh how do you like The sun is also a star? I read Everything, Everything and liked it. I've heard mixed reviews so i don't know if it's worth reading.

message 14: by CrazyAsACupcake (new)

CrazyAsACupcake Since I've been out all day, I've only just managed to begin Hole in the Middle. However, it's going well so far and is really easy to get into. I'll be able to finish this tomorrow when I'm at the hospital, for sure.

message 15: by Dóri (new)

Dóri (dorodor) | 8 comments Hey everyone! I hope you're all going strong :) Now that I changed books I could concentrate much more and read 37% of The Death Cure. Now I'm off to bed because it's almost midnight where I live and I'm a grandma too, lol.

message 16: by Hailee (last edited Aug 22, 2017 02:37PM) (new)

Hailee | 16 comments Well it's 22:30 in the UK and I read nearly 60 pages of The Great Hunt today so I'm pretty pleased.

I will definitely have to reevaluate my original goals though. I don't have work for 9 days after tomorrow and so thought I could use Thursday to Sunday to catch up with my reading. However I was reminded that we have relatives staying from Friday-Sunday and Thursday will be busy getting the house ready and the weekend spent with them. So I won't be totally free until the day AFTER the readathon finishes. Typical.

I'll still be taking part but my reading at the end of the week will be a lot more modest than I was hoping.

message 17: by Amanda (new)

Amanda 021101 (amanda_panda) Its 00:33 over here and let me just say... I'm so tired xD.
I'm just taking a little break from reading right now to catch up on goodreads and re energize a little bit. Im on page 166 of Crown Of Midnight by Sarah J Maas. I'm planning on reading to at least 300 pages or else i'll have to change everything to keep up with my challenges.

Ps. I love how suportive this group is! I hope everybody is having fun reading!

Wow, y'all are doing great! I've been really slacking today, but I plan on picking up the pace tonight. I'll go ahead and set up day three for everyone already into Wednesday. :)

message 19: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (tellingmelies) | 13 comments Finished All Lined Up (can't link cause I'm on my phone), so yay, one goal competed! Work was pretty busy today so that took away from reading time unfortunately.

message 20: by Kay (new)

Kay (bookishbroccoli) | 14 comments Great job Jenn!

It's pretty good. I was torn because of mixed reviews too, but I am enjoying it. It's not as amazing as Everything, Everything. I will have a review on it this week hopefully.

Elizabeth Finished Touch of Red (Tracers, #12) by Laura Griffin
And loved it, so that's 1 ARC down and 17 more to go.

message 25: by MaryJane (new)

MaryJane (mj_reads) | 6 comments I didn't get much done today, I ended up working a longer shift than I anticipated, rather than finish City of Bones tonight I'm just hoping to get about 100 pages read before heading to bed!

I'm currently listening to the Winter audiobook while coloring a picture of Winter from the Lunar Chronicles coloring book. It's a fantastic combination. The audiobook is really helping me get my reading in and it's reminding me just how much I love this book.

message 27: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Miller Didn't get to accomplish any of my goals due to work but there is always Wednesday and Thursday. Both are my days off

Lindsay (ummitslindsay) | 55 comments Mod
Looks like today is about over, so here's my wrap up:
106 pages of Siege and Storm
188 pages of Winter
I'm not really tired though, so I think I may stay up longer to read some more.

Thanks, everyone, for joining in on day two! All of your participation continues to make me happy and I'm increasingly glad I hosted this read-a-thon.
