Week 34- Total Eclipse of the Sun

James Patterson is co-authoring a book with former US president Bill Clinton. Tentatively titled The President is Missing, the book is slated to make its appearance in June 2018.

In honor of the 2017 solar eclipse... total solar eclipses traveling across the entire continental US are rare. Do you know the last time this happened? Take a guess here.

Today's the day! The solar eclipse travels across the continental US. While we won't be seeing a total eclipse here in Hampton Roads, we should see a decent partial eclipse. Make sure you wear the special glasses when looking at the sun. Alternatively, you can use the pinhole method to watch the eclipse (instructions here).

Have fun everyone! Total eclipses are rare so make sure you enjoy it.

What is everyone reading this week? I managed to make a nice dent in my pile last week (actually finished five books!!! Woo hoo!!). This week, I'm working on The Return of the King, Star Wars: Revan, and Lois Lane: Triple Threat.

This week I've finished Dark Terror by Kate Douglas and am now reading The Mark of the Moonlight Manzanilla by Lauren Willig, If I'm not mistaken I have one book left in the series: The Lure of the Moonflower. Then it will be on to another series, and finally The Paris Spy by Susan Elia MacNeal (it's taken me a week and a half to get to B&N).

I just finished The 15th Affair (Women's Murder Club) by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro and The Girl with the Caterpillar Eyebrows by Lisa Ditchkoff. Neither were what I was hoping them to be, but I finished them anyway. I'm listening to Dreamland by Sarah Dessen and reading one of the Battle of the Books titles, Making Bombs for Hitlar by Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch. So far, both have strong characters and interesting plot lines.
